    Here it is...

Finally came back from UK this week and today I had the time to go and test a bit more seriously the little toy on road.
Well, my first impression is that there is you and her, the GT3! Nothing that interact between us. It feels as you are the one who says what she has to do, everywhere, anywhere, in all situations.
The slip differential at low speeds is quite noisy but is part of the personality of the car. The brakes are just amazing, I have never driven a car with such good brakes. However I there is one noise that appears when I brake more than 3-4 seconds, I wonder if is normal.
The engine. When you look at it, you see just something similar as a washing machine but whats the point at looking the engine? This washing machine is the proof that evolution works! It eats the rpm so fastly that you don't even realize it. The power is amazing, especially after 6000 rpm it seems that there is a Turbo somewhere. The sound its not bad, unfortunatly nothing to fo with my V6 alfa or a V8 Ferrari, but after 6000 rpm it is quite exciting.
The gearbox is much better that the notmal Carrera. It allows you quick gear change but it needs to be followed until the end.
We all know that to understand the potential of the GT3 it is indispensable to go on a track, however I got my little idea of what we are talking about.
The car has so much grip that it seems never finishes with a rear that is much more stable than expected. The whole car has an incredible stability. I've found my self in a couple of situation passing some motorbikes in the exit of turns with a sudden change in direction, and the car just stays on the rails! Amazing!
The typical lighty front does not seem to exits on the GT3, at least I do not feel it as the previous Carrera 2.
Wish I ordered the car with Recaro seats, because the sport seats are too soft in my opinion. I will probably buy a set next year.
I have to admit that I am still scared pushing it further on road because I really don't know how the car would react, but I am certainly looking forward to go on a track day soon to look for the its limits.

This car has given me until now what I expected and there is much more to come.

Here are few pictures of the car, I will post tomorrow some more, didn't have the cable to download them on the computer from the other camera.

PS: todays trip was from Cannes to Digne on the Route Napoleon

    Congrats! Happy & safe driving!

    A word of caution

A couple of days ago I was driving my 360 Spider and found myself behind a GT2. The exhaust note of my Ferrari obviously got his attention. As we turned a corner, in an obvious effort to impress me with his car, he hit the throttle and proceeded to go into an uncontrolled spin and stopping only after ending up on the side of the road. I thought he was going to flip over.

The power of this car without safety aids is something that needs to be respected. Fortunately, your GT3 provides you with a margin of error. However do not take it for granted.

    Re: A word of caution

Yes. You are right and I am conscious of this. Fortunatly I am someone who thinks not twice but three times before I do something
I am quite aware of the no traction control systems and I can tell you that it stops me psycologically quite a lot However this pushes me further to go as soon as possible on track.

I was really disapointed from the former Carrera 2, not for the performance but for the feeling with the car. Very little adrenaline, emotion and sensations.
The GT3 seems to be another car on this side, it was exactly what I was looking for!

    Re: A word of caution

fabulous, can't wait to see it

That is one main reason I moved to A Ferrari. I feel like I am in a race car whether I am doing 100mph or 10mph.

BTW, everything I read about the GT3 is very complimentary. One article boldly stated it was the best Porsche excluding the CGT.

    Re: A word of caution

Nick, probably is a mid age crisis, I am sure you will go back to something serious around your sixties
