    SUVs may get banned from Paris in 18 months

    I read in another forum a CNN article reporting SUV's may get banned in a year and a half from Paris for being considered pulluters, space occupying and dangerous to pedestrians and other drivers. Which are concerns also expressed by London's mayor in "stronguer words"...

    It is, of course, pure coincidence that Renault, Peugeot, Citroen do not offer any SUV's!

    As for London's mayor, Ken Livingstone, the fact that his nickname is "Red Ken" says it all!

    back on topic, its about time someone began making some sense...

    too bad this will never happen in the USA in a million years, it would destroy the transportation options of an entire subculture of housewives/soccermoms.

    It's a wish made by some advisors to the Mayor who is also red ..... No worries this will never ever go through ....

    The Paris Mayor declared publicly he wants to make life so miserable for drivers they will drop their cars and use public transportation or bicycles ...

    Hey Hey, may be I'll buy a Porsche bicycle ..... even if they aren't much reliable (there has been a massive recall)

    Who elects these loosers!? everybody in bicicles and buses?... that will really improve our quality of life compared to how it is now

    Maybe Porsche should start making sportbikes wait os an urban "Smart" Porsche version... RC would love it!!

    I think it was more out of fear of the product liability attorneys than any manufacturing defect. I believe the carbon fiber handlebar and saddle supports were replaced with aluminum ones. Can you imagine the resulting lawsuit if a saddle support splintered and broke during use , maybe puncturing its rider in the process .

    I was just kidding regarding Porsche bikes ... If they can make one that would make me go faster with less effort ..... Put me on the list right now.
