    red 997 turbo from the rear (phtoshop)

    Following Farina's idea of using a 993TT style rear wing on the new 997, this is my try on how it may look from the rear (again, thanks to Gauss for the pics he took with all those 997's together).

    I tried to use a photo with other 997S to be able to compare and see the difference side by side, thought the reflections and angles of those pics make it more difficult than the official pics:

    - widebody hips (compared to artic silver on the right)
    - 993TT style rear wing
    - lower sportier rear bumper
    - turbo bumper grills
    - sideskirts
    - modded wheels
    - diff exhaust tips
    - turbo logo

    Those hips are going to look very impressive in the widebody version from behind

    Thief you stole my idea, but did a better job than me, i did mine in a rush, try chaning the alloys like i showed you on mine, and put pccb, and it'll hit autospies i'd say around tomorrow noon

    Wow, I'm very impressed with your Photoshop talent .

    Hope they'll implement 993TT solid wing for the 997, it'd look really bad a$$.

    I does need a wing, doesn't it? ... any idea of what other type wing it could be for the turbo? the camo shots are too camo wing wise...


    Lars? did you get to see a hint of the new wing in the camo turbo you saw?

    Carlos, you did a great job, but I don't like the loos... like it ate the wrong kind of steroids... :P Good ideas though.

    Sorry to mess with your PS job but in the spy pics the exhaust tips are coming out through the rear fender.

    So with my retarded PS talent I tried to show you what I meant.

    Do you want me to send my alloys?

    Try adding the exhaust of a carrera gt on the back of the turbo on the same location, that should do the trick because the one's on the current 997 don't really match :S

    Btw use the burn option on the alloys and the bumper to give it that shading effect, if you burn too much then use the dodge tool, that way you can give it a nicer effect and make it look more realistic. Only use the sponge, if you want to give the car a dirty or used look like i did on my rear bumper.

    I used the satinated effect to match the brightness of the wheels to the picture's lighting and ambient bluish tint, and then applied an inner shadow effect to the wheels instead to match the shadows of the photo. If you looks at the wheels, they have shadows exactly matching the other car's wheels to
    I thought I'd retain the bumper's exact reflections and brightness of the original picture since its a new car without licence plate with no road use yet.

    CGT's exhausts, good idea! I'll give it a try

    Does anyone know why the 997 no longer has the red strip at the rear?

    The red stripe will be reserved for the C4s only.

    *side door panels,
    *more aggressive lights (use the burn),
    *try to lower the car, don't think that should be too hard, i can help you if you want,
    *alloys,
    *new exhausts

    Next week i'll release how i think the cab will look like if i have time to do so but i'll show my vision of a gt2 as well it's almost done.
