Personally, I love the Capristo. Installed a level 2 (they come in 3 sound levels, with 3 being competition only) about 3 weeks ago, and it literally transformed the car. I have done back-to-back "grin tests" with Tubi-equipped 360s and everyone involved liked the Capristo better.

Do you have a coupe or Spider? It is my understanding the Capristo gives off a lot of heat and in a coupe you can feel it. Also, the Capristo is made by a manufacturer who does not specialize in exhaust system. It is a by product of the owner of a metal manufacturer who owned a Ferrari and decided to fabricate one for his car.
Tubi, worked with the F factory developing exhaust for all their models and the race team. Sound is very subjective

I had a Capristo (Level 3) and it was too loud for me. Have not tried the other two levels. I just put a Tubi in yesterday and I like it better so far. Much less (if absent) resonance under 2800 rpm. Much more comfortable to drive around town.

Capristo as well as Tubi seem to be very popular in the US, while in Germany Fuchs seems to be the most common aftermarket exhaust. Do you think that may change, now that Ferrari offers for the 360 (and surely will do so for future models) a CS exhaust as an option (which seems to be reasonably priced BTW)?

I had a Capristo (LC Racing) and it was tooloud and boomy. Changed to a Tubi and am much happier. Smoother sound and less resonance and boominess than Capristo.

Which Capristo? Sounds like you might have had a Level 3. I think is probably very little difference in sound level between a Capristo and Tubi, although most Tubi owners I know complain of "boominess" with their exhaust, and I have noticed nothing of the kind with my Level 2 Capristo. I just ran a track day at Laguna with 92dB limit and had no problem, and they black-flagged a Tubi-equipped 360 for excessive noise. Go figure.

Gary, any heat issues with the Capristo?
