    Black Painted Wheels?

    I recently saw a red GT3 with black painted wheels and it looked great. Now I am thinking they might look good on my white GT3. Any thoughts? I have seen the full black wheel on an RS; another version with just the spokes painted black and a black wheel with a polished lip (attached). Your thoughts on which stlye might work best?

    last one, painted wheel with polished lip (as on the 996gt3 rs)!

    My vote is on the full wheel - don't like the polished lip.

    than you got a total black rim with a black tire, looks like a black hole..

    I like them, I would have definitely considered getting that exact look if it was available at the time I ordered my car. Similar look to Techart GTS.

    You gotta go with the black spokes and polished lip. It has a long history at Porsche.

    What makes me wonder is why modern "black" wheels do not have their inner cylinder painted black! With all the grime that collects there and the space between spokes it really is messy-looking.

    Thanks. Next step is deciding on a finish: gloss or satin black; and someone to do a 'factory quality' paint job. Anyone have experience with Wheel Enhancement or Shoreline Motoring in Socal?

    You want gloss. Otherwise the car will look like a mule. Be ready to pay alot of money. The prep work must be done right and it's very easy just to charge less and do a sh*t job.

    I only know of shorelinemotoring and would have to say it is first rate. I have all my mods, tires, done by them. Its first rate work. Not cheap but quality workmanship. In addition, they might provide with u with loaner wheels. The process with take about 10 days.

    Yeah, I'll tend to agree with you because it's got that other black trim going on AND it's basically a race car anyway... .
