To each their own, everyone has different taste and likes but personally I think the Lusso is finally desirable and stunning looking unlike the FF with the looks so horrible I could not convince myself to overcome, even when the overall package had no competition.

Ordered Lusso for my wife's daily driver  and before anyone makes silly comments please know, she was an accomplished rally driver (1989-1991) competing in a works Celica Alltrack so she knows how to drive a high performance car.

Congrats, just don't compare it with R8,otherwise,you are okey Smiley

Audi R8 is in a class by itself and nothing else can come even close, I would not dare say otherwiseSmiley

You mean that it will change the look of the colour? If you drive it without PPF it will get stone chips and scratches. With PPF once you remove it in the future it is supposed to be the factory paint as you saw it on day one, no?

Just a tiny bit on the triple layer paints - most of it is in my head, plus I like to run my hand over my cars and it never feels the same with the PPF. First world issues, I know.

Why would someone make silly comments about your wife? We are a bunch of dudes here but we love women who love to drive a fast car. Smiley

Say a big hello to your wife, I was a fellow Rallye driver when I was young. Great sport, a bit too expensive for me at that time (I was a student and had to rely on my parents for paying the bills, I wasn't good enough for sponsors at first and when I started to be good, it was too late). Joined the Toyota team for 6 months (as a consultant), had a Toyota Celica 4WD Turbo as a "company" car, amazing ride for that time, especially since I was basically driving a camouflaged Rallye version on the road (for testing purposes). Had over 300 hp...even had a boost control in the interior, so I could adjust boost. Smiley

Had the Plus as a rental in LA for over a week and loved every minute of driving it, joking aside, really a great package.

As far as "wife jokes" I had a bad experience on an unnamed blog where I was attacked for getting a C4 Cab for my wife daily driver about 15 years ago.

The mildest was : "is she going to race it between Neiman Marcus and Saks?" or :"what a waste of a good car on some skirt who would never even go over the speed limit".

Overboost was a big issue in that car, 300hp was the standard competition mode but too often you had to shut it down to reset it.

Steering wheel lock was disabled so you could shut the engine at speed and restart immediately (during Special Stage!).

    Crazy times.....

    Re: Ferrari FF / GTC4Lusso

My feelings about the FF are well known. Saw one yesterday and moaned that cannot have a Ferrari tag on it. The person in the car with me said "No way that's a Ferrari". Sadly I said it is. The Lusso though an improvement isn't much better. They both qualify for paper bags. That said, I understand its a great DD driving car.

Phew! Smiley You have to remember though its hard to make a shooting brake look like a graceful or even aggressive Ferrari design. Furthermore, many of of the owners have other more attractive Ferraris. To me the real blight design was the California but this has been well and truly fixed now with the Portofino.

Does anyone here remember the Espada?  I always thought it was the most amazing Lambo ever... and they had this history had they ever wanted to do a fast-estate style 4 seater before Ferrari did.

Yes, I remember the Espada but I cannot say I'm a huge fan of it's design. Especially the rear part always came off a little bit odd. Smiley

Espada was impressive in its time when the roads in Europe were filled with Austin Allegro, Renault 12, Opel Kadett, Ford Taunus etc. but it is definitely no beauty.
