R4 to share development with next Boxster/Cayman
According to tomorrow's edition of German Autobild, Porsche is working on a baby Cayenne, based on the upcoming Audi Q5 and touted to be named Porsche Roxster. The name has already been copyrighted by Porsche.
As an exchange it's also said that the rumored Audi R4 (starting possibly 2010), another sports car from Audi, is inheriting some technology from the next generation Porsche Cayman and Porsche Boxster which shall arrive 2012.

Hmm. Porsche purists have been bashing the R8 (no offence, here) but I wonder, what can be said about the mid-engined R4 as it will be the next Boxster/Cayman's sister car? Styling? ;P
