    Thoughts on upcoming RS6 ?

    What do you guys think ? With Panamera around the corner would the RS6 have hp and price advantage?

    Ron,
    RS6 will have 580hp(or 579hp depending how to translate kw to hp), TIP gearbox and will weight almost 2000kg's...

    Performance will be very good(like 0-100km/h: 4.5s) but, this is still very heavy car.

    Panamera will be only in its most powerfull version at the same level as RS6(and there is big WILL IT?)...

    Very small hint... Remember the bigger side wents on side blades of R8 V10 test mule(the one which ended in fire...)?
    They need it becuase there was according to my info V10 biturbo with 550hp under the rear hood! Combined with 6speed manual or suprise, suprise....

    what 550hp???I thought 520,because Gallardo with DFI will have 550hp.....I can't believe...what a monster will be r8 v10????and what news about the gearbox???7speed dsg?

    Yes, 7speed S-Tronic... BUT, it will be available from MY2010...

    while all the S and the RS models from Audi have tremendous firepower, i really find them uninvolving. Power ist surely very important, but these are not sportscars...

    They are ordinary cars, tuned with better suspensions, brakes and engines. What do you expect? You have the 911 for the sports car experience.

    i had an S3 some time ago, your right: fast, but no sporstcar.

    for involvement i got a Cayman S (curiosly i found the CS to be more involving than the Carrera, drove both back 2 back at a dealer DE)...
