    Latest Mercedes SL Major Facelift

    Glad that I'm done with SL's, they get facelifts etc. too often.

    I prefer the look of the current SL more still

    Those headlamps are disgusting! Sheesh! It's the one ugly feature on the CLS and guess what they lifted from the CLS to the SL? Yuk!

    My opinion is that all new Mercedes cars (except new S class which looks great) looks worse than predecessor..

    And the badging was better in the past either... Just think of "CL 500" vs "500 SEC". Ah, the good ol' days.

    I think it just get worse, the new dame-edna lights look hideous... for me the old sl is cool but everything produced after the mid 80:s Bobby Ewing car just fit best in a drug-dealer garage...

    Why don't develop the good old gullwing SL further and keep the classic lines

    We haven't seen the car yet.. And when the important part is talking (i.e. the wallet), it often tells companies quite different things then what they'll hear in an online forum

    You may dislike the amount of facelifts they give their models, but it's hard to understand how you can dislike a facelift you haven't seen yet

    Those headlights look Nissanish, but in person maybe the cars shapes all come together.

    With LED technology it doesnt really make sense to have such huge headlight assemblies. They look fragile and expensive to replace.

    I don't mind HOW MANY facelifts they do. I only care about how it LOOKS.

    Maybe it will be a commercial success. After all, enough people buy ugly cars like the BMW 5 series...

    This car looks pretty good and certainly a hell of more modern and stylish than the 911.

    Hey Nick, taste is totally subjective/personal. I can't stand the headlamps on this proposed SL pic. Period. You don't like the 911. That's absolutely fine with me. More power to you! It's your right to like/dislike whatever you wish. Similarly, I can like/dislike whatever I want. That's my credo. The way I see it, at the end of the day, it's all about being passionate about cars. IMO it's better to be passionate about something in life than have no passion at all about anything

    It's all about today's vehicle designs. That angular approach isn't just Lexus it's BMW, the S550 has some extra lines, and now even Porsche with the new rear lights they will be adding to the mix.
    Might not be our cup of tea but they have to modernize.
