The fact is that with black wheels, i do not see the border with the tire and i don't like that

I don't agree with fritz, you'd be fine painting the rims any other color than silver. A friend has a 968 CS with painted rims and they're fine despite heavy abuse! Don't hesitate!
I love it - white+white=gorgeous! Only downside is you'll have to clean the rims more often because the brake dust becomes more visible. But that's a small price to pay for having nice lookin' wheels

Arbitrarily partially painted wheels!?
I mean it's a crazy bizzy-fication of yet another thing on the car. Sure when the outer rims are left "unpainted" and the spokes get paint is okay... .
But this is silly; will look even better when brake dust takes it's place on the alternating bi-color stage:

Guys, today I saw a black GT3 rs with white decals at the dutch importer. It looked stunning. I took some pics with my cellphone, will post them asap (Tuesday) The rims where as posted above by MMD, but then with white what's silver above, and black what's white above... looked very good!

Looked very good huh? Well okay. seeing stuff in person is important.
BTW, despite what I say, if a friend fell in love with those wheels and ordered them I'd be happy.
I'm just thinking critically, I mean here's this new twist to wheel painting and I'm not just gonna accept it and assume Porsche stylists are always correct because they are genius-inspired.
Why? because they look strange and have no precedent and I believe the car is getting too busy-looking... .
It also hints at the possibility that Porsche is desperate to sell the maximum number of cars and will do anything to get people titilated enough to buy one; kinda whore-ish IMO.

Shouldn't be anything to worry about either. Getting rims painted isn't like a regular paint job for the car body - the paint on rims is much tougher.

OK guys,
As promised the pictures of the black/white rs.
I talked with one of the salesmen. It was a black/orange rs, with all the orange parts customly painted white. The rims where additionally custom, because the had to be painted in two colors.
