I could not agree more with this thread. BMW made a horrible decision in thinking they were in the computer software business (iDrive) and let alone their "Bangle" inspired designs. I always say, when a company has so much money in the bank, they often take extreme risks, its a gamble everytime, but this time they lost. The best thing they could do right now is admit, change and make new cars. This is the difference in what the Japanese auto makers (Nissan) would do versus a German or even a US company would do, they have way to much pride standing in the way. Even though the 5 series is "easier" to accept, its really not a great looking car, just look at its predecessor and see how much "design harmony" that car has compared to the present car's long winding lines, the headlines are ugly and the back nearly as bad as the 7 series. I also know they are redesignig the rear end of the 7 series, should be out in late fall. That will help but what a pity the 6 series, so damn ugly, so heavy looking, no class, no harmony, just a complete failure!!!!!!

I think the new BMW 5 series looks like something Batman should be driving.
The cheap plastic looking interior also needs an overhaul.
