    looking for some driving suggestions in Southern Germany

    Saw your post to Jason that you'll be at the Porsche factory on June 4th. Jason and I will arrive in Frankfurt on May 18th and leave on June 5th. We'll be at the Nurburgring, Rothenburg, Stuttgart (factory tour 21st), Munich, Lake Constance area. We'll be taking every factory tour we can get in on. I'm hoping I'll get to see my car being built. Any chance we could get together?

    I'll be in Stuttgart 3rd-4th, and Munich the 4th-5th. Besides the factory tour, I plan on checking out Techart. I'm always open to tipping back a bier

    I visited TechArt in Leonberg last summer. Very nice facility they've got set up there. When you're there, ask for Axel. Here are some pictures from my visit last summer:

    How far is the Ruf facility from Stuttgart? My travel plan is Stuttgart>Munich>Innsbruck>Zurich>Geneva>Nice. I would love to get a look at Ruf if it did not take me too off-course

    Be sure and check out Regensburg, a true Bavarian Gem. Be sure to have lunch at the old stone bridge; kraut and bratwurst old school style. The place has been in continuous operation for 700yrs! It's my favorite Bayern city, of course I'm biased.

    I used to live in Heilbronn,--about 30 minutes north of Zuffenhausen. I know the area fairly well, usually running down to Lake Constance for lunch on Sundays. What time of the year are you planning to be there? Holiday periods will really impact your ability to open her up. Everyone is on holiday in July, August it seems. Suggest the Black Forest, France west of Baden Baden, and the short alps near Fussen. Take the Alpenstrasse to Berchesgaden from Garmisch. The trek south of Salzburg into Austria to Gmund is quite nice, as are the roads that run E-W near Spittal,--go west toward Swtizerland and Italy. (It's not far).

    the origional wurstkuchel, a definite must if in that part of Bavaria

    also Bamberg for the "rauchbier" smoked beer, i believe ther are over 20 breweries in the relatively small city of Bamberg.

    Thanks,couldn't remember the namen. Basically each small town has it's own bier, heaven on earth!
