    More trouble for Koenigsegg.....

    Link to news:
    http://www.e24.se/dynamiskt/dyrkultur/did_15405837.asp

According to swedish newspaper Aftonbladet (www.aftonbladet.se) the previous owner of a Koenigsegg CCX is sueing the company for six million kronor (approx. Euro 700 000).

It's the norwegian business man Tommy Sharif that bought a CCX, had it for a week, then crashed it while driving on a closed track during an event. After this he returned the car and commissioned Koenigsegg to sell it for him. The car was sold to a member of the family that owns Hennes & Mauritz. A couple of days later, the very same car crashed again by the way.

Tommy Sharif now claims that Koenigsegg has received the money from the last buyer but then failed to forward the money to him. Instead it is reported that Koenigsegg has offered mr. Sharif shares in the company totalling a value of six million kronor. This does not interest mr. Sharif as he intends to use the money to buy a Bugatti Veyron instead. So now he has filed for the court to render Koenigsegg bankrupt.

It's going to be interesting to follow this story as it unfolds.

If that's the brown-skinned playboy who embarrassed himself in front of a live audience, then I think he may want to check what kind of car he buys next time.

    Re: More trouble for Koenigsegg.....

Well, I guess we'll see another crashed Veyron soon then...

Here's the guy putting the front end in the dirt...what an [beep]. He obviously thinks he's Jeff Gordon, when he clearly has the driving skill of an 80 year old man

    Re: More trouble for Koenigsegg.....

    Lol

    Re: More trouble for Koenigsegg.....

Bwahahaha! He is the worst driver I have ever seen in my life! I don't think he has ever done any driver's training by the looks of it.

    Re: More trouble for Koenigsegg.....

His crash came up in a previous thread a while ago, and also another video in which he challenges rally driver Henning Solberg to a race on public roads (closed for traffic during the race though). In that video he also stated something like: "I can't drive on the track, but on the road I'm the best."

What an [beep]. Hopefully he only kills himself and doesn't produce any offspring before he does.

    Re: More trouble for Koenigsegg.....

Does anyone find it surprising that a judgement for 700k euros would render Koenigsegg bankrupt? That seems like a slim margin when that sale of one car can make or break the entire company.

    Re: More trouble for Koenigsegg.....

According to an interview today with Koeningsegg made by a Swedish magazine, Sharif, the Norwegian businessman, is lying about his claim. And to straighten things out, it's not Koenigsegg that he threatens to render bankrupt, it's just the Norwegian Koenigsegg dealership!

Koenigsegg states that Sharif had never paid for the car in full and wanted to sell it even before he ended up crashing it, and that he also had offered to take shares in the company as payment. Koenigsegg goes on to say that after Sharif's crash they had to get the car in shape to be able to sell it, so they made deductions for repairs, comission for selling the car and the fact that Sharif never paid for the car in full from the start. Sharif didn't accept this and I guess that's when the trouble began...

C'mon, JohnJohn, I can accept that Jeremy Clarkson couldn't spell "Koenigsegg" on Top Gear, but you are supposed to be Swedish!

    Re: More trouble for Koenigsegg.....

    Nothing Swedish about that name!

    Re: More trouble for Koenigsegg.....

Ooops. My bad. Well, it was late at night and I should have been doing this instead:

Hey, I live in Sweden but who says I'm Swedish?

    Re: More trouble for Koenigsegg.....

It's all a marketing gimmick from him to get his face on the newspapers and sell more tires. And it's working..

    Re: More trouble for Koenigsegg.....

Maybe he's working together with Koenigsegg to get their name mentioned in the press more often too? =)

Exactly as I've written it. This scum needs to try and pull off something like this in his home country. Needless to mention, he'd probably be missing a few body parts afterwards.
