    P-factory "Euro springs"

my local P-dealer told me that they sell factory "Euro springs." apparently the euro spec 911s are about 5/8" lower in ride height than the US spec 911s.

anybody know anything about this? any info you guys have seen? anyone here install "euro springs" in their 911?

thinking about switching out my H&Rs b/c they are too low.
    thanks.

    Re: P-factory "Euro springs"

    hmmm,

I looked at the UK parts catalog on the porsche website. There is a part coil spring for I030 (sport-type running gear) # 997 343 531 24
I think this is the part for the -20mm sport suspension?

    Ask them for the part#.

    Re: P-factory "Euro springs"

I haven't check the specs to confirm, but the ride height is supposed to be the same for both US and Euro cars. I think any differences in ride height disappeared with the 997.

    Re: P-factory "Euro springs"

The ride height difference between USA and Euro is about 10mm. (Save the Euro -20mm option).

    Re: P-factory "Euro springs"

Well, now I just had to check the specs, and according to the figures I found there's no difference in ride height between a basic U.S. or Euro C2S.

Seems so since the launch of the 997 series.
FWIW I only have the data for the TT available which says all cars (US+RoW) have a ground clearance of 110mm, whereas for the predecessor (996 TT) ground clearance for the US specced cars was 110 mm, whereas RoW 90 mm).

    Re: P-factory "Euro springs"

this is very very confusing. just called my porsche dealer.

parts guy told me that they sell "Euro-spec springs." the specs, however, are exactly the same as the specs on the US-spec 911, according to this parts guy. now, why would anyone in the US order the "euro-spec springs" if the standard springs on their car are the same specs???

then the parts guy told me about "Euro-spec sports suspension springs." he couldn't give me a spec or details on how much it will lower my ride height. but i did get a part # for this...
    997 333 531 49 504 rear
    997 343 531 43 504 front

i'm wondering if this is the same as the 20mm option that the Euro 911s have???

where the hell do i go from here?

    Re: P-factory "Euro springs"

    997 333 531 49 504 rear
this looks right for the rear.

    997 343 531 43 504 front
    part# does not exists.

    front should be 997 343 531 24 504
