    Here's my ultimate 10 sports cars...can you tell I like Porsche?

    RUF Cayman (small, light, and fast)
    Porsche 993 Turbo (a classic, drivable daily)
    Porsche Carrera GT (need I say more?)
    Porsche 906 (heritage)
    Porsche 917 (heritage)
    Porsche 964 Turbo (defines the 911)
    Porsche GT1 (landmark for supercars everwhere)
    Ferrari 360 Modena (always wanted one)
    Aston Martin V8 Vantage (bond, james bond)
    Ferrari F40 (because jeremy clarkson has convinced me)

    I have a thing for Corvettes, especially the 1963-67 range, when men were men and cars had big-block engines

    I just realized that I left out the McLaren F1...

    Most members focus on modern cars, performance and ring times.

    I like to take heritage and feel into account.

    Porsche 550 over any modern car anytime (regardless of price of course)!!!

    Have always opted to only have 2 latest/greatest cars in a fleet changing every 6mos or so....easier to be sharper re: dynamic/ergonomic nuances of each car w/more frequent driving experiences.....

    No Vette?

    Interesting to note that just a couple of posts cite Corvette. Most people are ignoring the Le Mans and ALMS class winner of the last few years. I'm all for Porsche but the Vette clearly deserves to be in the top 10 list.
    OTOH someone put a range rover SUV... !?!

    I beg to differ. There is no way that you can properly learn, and truly appreciate, a car in 6 months unless you are a full-time professional driver. It takes far longer to be one with the mount and it takes far longer to truly break in the car. You just switch because it's fashionable to display the latest toy, that is all.

    This list is not the best 10 performing cars of all time or the 10 best by numbers cars, it is a personal list of what each person chooses as his personal top 10 in terms of desire.

    That means looks, image, feel, sound, and performance with price no object. That being said any corvette after the 1960's would be way down on my list. Yet a 1960's split window corvette coupe would be pretty high.
