Jason Plato managed to get up to 190mph on an Autobahn in the Brabus but traffic kept slowing him down...he was trying to reach 200mph...
Tiff tested the R8 in Las Vegas and on a track...he seemed to really like it....he said it didn't have front wheel understeer like other Audi 4WD cars... instead it had rear wheel oversteer...
He thought the manual gear shift was wonderful...preferred it to the F1 paddleshift....he loved the magnetic ride
Given the choice of the AMV8, 911 and R8, he would choose the R8....

Then I must also have had a senior moment, because I also heard him say he'd go for the Vantage.

I found that interesting. I haven't driven an R8 with paddle shift, but found the manual shift very notchy and sloppy. I wondered at the time if the shift in the car I drove was somehow defective. Tiff's report would appear to confirm that.

YES!!!! I completely agree, it's very annoying. I prefer NO music when the car is turned on...or at least a better soundtrack!

Thanks for the link. Beautiful car. Shame about the brake feel and slow steering (3.25 turns lock-to-lock).
