    Re: SPECING MY 430!

Hi Grant, afraid I can't comment on your specs but would like to offer my congrats anyway!!

Can I enquire as to whether you are trading in your Aston for the F430?

From your posts it looks like you have jumped from a Carrera S > Aston Martin Vantage > F430 and a Boxster S thrown in for good measure!

Any comparative insight you could give us?

    Cheers

    Re: SPECING MY 430!

well all I can say is about the interior color...IMHO it is just too bright...I'm saying this because down here there's a black F430 that I get see every once in a while and though I can't say exactly what the interior color is, because I'm driving, it sure is dark and it makes the car look really mean...that car has yellow calipers too and they look astonishing...also I suppose iPod connection would come rather handy, don't you think??? and an upgraded stereo too if you're a big music lover

    Re: SPECING MY 430!

I agree with MarcusRay. Nero exterior looks killer mean and sleek but the cream interior kind of kills it. It's just too much contrast. I've seen Nero/Black on the street and it looks/sounds tough and masculine. Cuoio may be ok with black but I personally don't like cream interior. I would imagine the resale value of black/black would be better than black/cream. Also if you can splurge on the Daytona seats, go for it. It makes the interior look so much better/sportier/more expensive. I have the F430 Spider Grigio Silverstone/Cuoio F1 with Daytona seats by the way. Of course I'm just putting in my 2 cents and that's all it may be worth.

    Re: SPECING MY 430!

Power Daytona seats are a must for resale.

The creme interior though nice is not what I would choose.

The upgraded stero is a waste of money. Let the engne provide the sound entertainment.

I-Pod connection is a good choice.

Unless they improved the Nav. system I would not consider it.

You might want to consider polished wheels. They add a lot to the appearance of the car.

    Re: SPECING MY 430!

In the UK "spec" is rosso corsa, crema interior with red carpets, very traditional / classic. Anything else is not as good on resale - I am sure Grant knows that. My mate just could NOT sell his tour de france / beige 360 - stunning car but the dealers and the punters want a "red" Fezza.

    Re: SPECING MY 430!

Have done more research today and am going to chose black over cream will have silver piping and silver stiching as well! maybe go for daytonas too! and will not bother with the rear bench in leather as carpet looks ok in black! also will save me Pounds1300, i can put that towards the daytona seats! pic of nero and nero

    Re: SPECING MY 430!

pic of Nero with daytonas and silver stiching, nice! will show up marks and scuffs less than creama too!

    Re: SPECING MY 430!

better choice to go with a dark outside colour!

    Re: SPECING MY 430!

nice specs! congrats. but i would go for the uprgraded sound and will choose with black cuio sella interior. crema will look horrible after a month, whatever you do.

    Re: SPECING MY 430!

iiwy I would go for race seats - they are really good

also ask to test drive a car with cc brakes - I think you will be very impressed

Sorry thats about Pounds12,000 of extras I've just suggested

That's a shame! Even my wife checked out the Crema last night and said despite the colour being hard to care of it looks beautiful - I have had black on black and rosso / black combinations in the past - bit boring me thinks.

The other beige / tan's look great too - please reconsider.....

    Re: SPECING MY 430!

Your original choice of black with crema is my ultimate combination on my ultimate choice of car. A friend has a black 612 with this combo including the black piping which just breaks up the crema a bit and looks fantastic. The whole package is incredibly beautiful.

Alas my wife won't let me have one (any hints boys), but has agreed quite happilly on AMV8 which is what I'll be ordering soon.

Enjoy your dilemma and the car when it arrives!

Just out of interest the 612's Daytona seats after about 6 months and 6000k's started to get an unusual pinkish tinge on them including on the backs of the seats. Dealer replaced for him immediately as expected.
