    Did about 135mph in my cayman S on the M1 a few weeks ago (before they put the average speed cameras in)
    Hit 148mph in my old BMW 330Ci coupe on the A406 / north circ in london about 3/4 yrs ago. It was very late, very twitchy and a very stupid!
    They've since put an additional speed camera in to render this kind of speed impossible...

    285 km/h on my GPS. I have no idea what speed the car displayed. I was busy looking ahead. I have a standard Carrera. The GPS saved "my record" as I found later.

    187mph in 993 ghosting a Carrera GT ,( 2 tenths slower to quarter of a mile than the GT , not bad effort for 10yr old car against the flagship)

    Speedo said 174 in the Las Vegas desert. It was a 1990 Carrera 4, so probably whatever the top speed was for that car, I hit it.

    IMO what one states here on an internet forum carries no risk in practice of a speeding conviction.

    Our identities are superficially anonymous but that if the authorities tried to obtain concrete information about any of us, all they could prove was that (1) 'someone' opened an account on Rennteam in a particular person's name and (2) that 'someone' was using a particular IP address to access Rennteam when posting a reply.

    How would that hold up in court? I don't think so....

    Relax and enjoy your relative anonymity here

    You need to give more detail than that...

    I think internet statements are merely useful to the authorities when they want to decide who they want to investigate and where to focus their attention....

    Obviously, if you upload videos of yourself (with your car and licence plate) doing 150mph on youtube then you are asking for trouble....even then they would need to be able to identify the driver....but verbal statements by an anonymous poster aren't evidence for the reasons previously stated.
