Thanks to all for helping me choose a wheel package. I finally decided to go with the black chrome vs. the motorsport wheels...I wanted something different, but slightly understated. I thought the motorsports might be too much flash on top of an already flashy yellow car.
I am slowly getting use to this car and have now had her on the track 2 times. Even though the car is softer and has more body roll than my previous car, it is pulling faster lap times. You just don't realize how fast you are taking the corners until you look at the speedo. So far nothing has touched it at the track, except a GT3 on similar tires. He was pulling the same or slightly faster corner speeds, but I was killing him on the straits. Like I said before, the car is a little soft for the track, and would do better with some tweaking.
I already put an intake on the car. we got about 18rwhp, which I was suprised, but that was with a tune..it was runing slightly lean stock, and we significantly cleaned up the mid-range.
The next step is a set of headers and cross-over pipe, which should give me another 25rwhp for a total of 550'ish. That is perfect, and I will go no further. The motor itself unlike the LS1/2/6 needs nothing to get significant power.
I am ordering a set of Bilstein coil-overs and competition sway bars. Once I drove the car, I knew while super fast, it needed stiffer springs and better dampers for the super sticky tires I run at the track. So, I decided to ditch the leaf spring set up and go with a set of race prepped coil-overs around 750lbs vs the 625+- the stock spring rate. The T1 bars are about 1/3 stiffer and should keep the car flatter in the curves.
I'll keep you guys posted on the results...
Figured I would share a photo with them on...what do you think? unfortunately, the file was too large to upload.
