PS: we NEED t have some decent pics of your black GT3...

Here is some pictures of my 991.1 GT3 taken today when I woke it up from its Holliday rest. Time to deliver tomorrow Smiley

By the way, the GT2 will look very similar since I spec'ed it blackSmiley Would like to have all the signs (GT2RS signs in the back and on the sides) in yellow instead of current white Smiley Not sure if this is possible, but will go down and discuss this and some other details later on.

    Price is consistent.

    Re: OFFICIAL: 911 GT2 RS (2017)

Prices asked aren't always (or seldom) the prices paid. I would be careful now!

Of course I will surely regret not getting and reselling one but at least I don't have sleepless nights over this. Smiley

I doubt few people would pay more than MSRP for a GT2RS. Maybe a premium of 5% - but more? Will be difficult...

And do these re-sellers not worry about being put on Porsche's "blacklist"?  Or are there so many loopholes in this that it simply does not affect the flippers?  We seem to hear lots about official disapproval of flipping, but clearly it is still happening with a fairly high proportion of sales of limited or scarce GT models.  As I recall Ferrari used to (no longer does?) ask owners to sign a binding agreement not to re-sell for a period... a year?

Cause 'these' people are the Porsche dealers in the USA.

Us in Canada it's better, as the dealers are not authorized to sell new cars above MSRP. So the flippers here are and will be the initial buyers, and that Porsche can do something about it. In the USA the 'flippers' are the dealers themselves, and they are untouchables. Porsche can't blacklist them, as they are the ACTUAL customers of PCNA that helps them sell cars to us the consumers.

    Re: OFFICIAL: 911 GT2 RS (2017)

Visited the dealer that offered the GT2RS via email just to see some of the exterior color for the 911 in person that I haven't seen before and discussed the price of the GT2RS. It's true, they just got a list of interested buyers and the car will be sold to the highest bidder. Apparently they never sell any of the GTs at MSRP.

The new colors that I saw for the first time are Crayon and Miami, liked Crayon more than Miami. Wanted to see graphite blue but they didn't have it.

Fair enough for North America, but Gnil's clip of GT2RS for sale were all Euro listings - and did not look like dealer listings, so if these are individuals, they still risk being cut out of future sales?

European dealers don't have VIP program, their dealers decides who gets what.

And these 'special VIPs' are also quite untouchables as most have connections to the factory themselves.

Some are car brokers, that help sourcing hard to get models all over Europe for their clients, the EU make it easy to buy across borders. At times these car brokers buy enough cars from dealerships that they ARE their biggest customers, would any dealer risk offending these buyers?

True but Porsche sometimes have a saying in this as well...if they want to get involved (not often). Smiley

Unfortunately...again...true. Not easy to fight off speculators without offending major customers/dealerships. There are ways however...

It's a free world, someone wants to charge more, and someone willing to pay for it.

Does not bother me at all.  There is no current new cars that I have to have.

Guess I'm getting old.  Went to a local supercar show yesterday and I mainly just drink and look at girls, and that fancy Pagani.  Didn't even bother to take any car pics.

Maybe I am already quite satisfied with my small collection now, and no garage space to add any.

Not so surprised. You have the most modern and pure RS available, with manual and Metzger. A keeper.

Even a small city (approx 130k citizens will get 2 GT2RS - first allocation). Very unlikely that Düsseldorf will only get 3 on this basis Smiley

    Re: OFFICIAL: 911 GT2 RS (2017)

Im super, super curious to know whats true and whats not.  I've seen info from both reenlist and rennteam.

    1. Is the GT2RS limited in the US market?
    2. If it is limited, how would allocations work?
    3. if its not limited, why does this keep popping up and whats going on?
    4. Are the "runs" of the car?
    5. What the heck is going on with this numbers game in the US market?

Disclaimer: I'm currently not able to purchase one, but I should be before the year is over.  I just want to know the truth about this whole numbers thing.  I'm currently interested in the performante, the 488GTO, and the 2RS, not the 720s due to hearing some bad rumors about them.  I'm not interested in a car with a numbers game behind it.

    Thank you.

In US only 918 original owners were offered the car so far, no one yet knows how many, if any cars, the dealers will get over that initial factory managed allocation.

In case dealers in US will have any cars for sale, the assumption is most of them will be either kept by principals or auctioned off.
