Definitely looks like a M3. Just look at the wheel arches and rear bumper, plus you can see the M horizontal slats just in front of the door.

Definately its a "must do" in my list, each year it passes I'm closer to complete this dream
So have you already bought the N-ring sticker???, you know the tradition !!!!, car that touches Nurburgring, car that wears the N-ring sticker !!!
Two days ago just ordered one online, for my mini cooper S, although mine has never touched the n-ring (and being realistic, will never touch it ), but saw it in Rami's gallardo and looks amazing, its just another little detail for the car enthusiast, but its nice nonetheless!! 
White looks AMAZING!!!!!!!!!!!

I take it that it wasn't the virgin lap for the M3 driver - excellent idea to use an experienced Ring-driver as a guide
I did the same last Friday (though a Strossek 993 served as my guide), hence my baby isn't a Ring virgin any more either
Playstation is ok to study the corner sequences, but it's not a substitute for the real thing
Great pics by the way - they don't look like the pics of those "official" Ring photographers
@ atomic: it doesn't need a Turbo to enjoy the Ring, though it helps on the straights
Make sure to use an experienced guide to have fun 
Also it's a good idea to take some taxi-laps as a passenger with a Ring-pro behind the wheel before going for your virgin lap
