looks wayyyyyyy toooooo much like the Lincoln MKX from the back and 3/4 view rear. Lincoln did a better rear end imo.

Apparently the angled trunk was also in the last Cayenne so might not be very different.

What did you expect? It follows the "new" design language introduced with the Panamera.

The Turbo and the GTS will look a bit more aggressive but thats it. Porsche leaves the more spectacular design to Lamborghini.

Btw: Saw a black Bentayga at my hotel here in Las Vegas. I just cannot get used to this car but people seem to love it (probably because they know how much it costs LOL), you should have heard the comments while we waited for our car at the valet. I would never get the Bentayga but it sends a message.

I think nowadays, car manufacturers give customers what they want and they seem to know what they want (surveys, etc.). We sportscars lovers are probably, again, those "3%" who have a different taste.

Oh, I like the new Cayenne interior a lot but I'm afraid my wife would hate it (too much tech, too many touch buttons).

The Bentayga looks pretty poor .. just like the Cayenne till the last generation. However, it is definitely the best combination of power/performance/ luxury/ technology on the market today. Its still no match for a Cayenne Turbo S in a corner but far superior in every other way. I am really surprised how much I like my First Edition.

Re: Next Cayenne generation approaching fast... (2018)

Could you compare the costs? And also outline how the Bentayga  is superior to the Cayenne Turbo S?

on the contrary, I felt the Bentayga only win on the most expensive department, I drove one and I hated it when I compared it with my Cayenne Turbo S.

I felt it only win 1% of the battle against the Cayenne Turbo S.

Hell even the badge Bentley loses out to Porsche.

The interior felt cheap, almost felt like Bentley tried too hard and made their material felt second rated. acceleration the Cayenne wins hands down, there is no 'against the seat back moment' when I test drove the Bentayga. Cornering as you said the Bentayga is pretty poor, almost felt like a Lincoln Navigator. Fit and finish are about on par with Cayenne, and this is suppose to be Bentley's big win over the Cayenne. Exterior, hmm, serious, no comment for the Bentley. Buyers, hmm, here where I live, only the new money from corruption-enriched Mainland Chinese buys them, which means the father may not even get to drive it as he might be inline for an execution from corruption before the car arrives.

And no, I am not biased. I drove a Bentley Continental before and the Bentayga just doesn't have the composure of the Continental.

But yeah sorry, for the price premium Bentley charged for the same car as the Cayenne, it is a big fail. For that much premium, I would expect the difference between a Hyundai Sonata and a Rolls Royce Ghost. And coming from Bentley, I would also expect the car to be PERFECT.

I like the new Cayenne & Bentayga, but the Bentayga is too much expensiveIMG_4872.PNG

Re: Next Cayenne generation approaching fast... (2018)

The Bentayga I sat in was in a whole other league interior wise vs a Cayenne.

Re: Next Cayenne generation approaching fast... (2018)

Bentayga interior is already dated looking. Garbage center console. The concept car is the direction Bentley should move in.

Re: Next Cayenne generation approaching fast... (2018)

Interior and tech looks a bit dated already but it probably appeals to the target group who like it a bit "like it always has been".

Exterior wise the new Cayenne will probably look nice with bigger wheels and in dark colors. The subtle changes makes it looks much better than the previous generation.

    Bentley interiors? laughangry

Re: Next Cayenne generation approaching fast... (2018)

Different opinions about the new Cayenne  generation are welcome. I like it, not wild about it, but I certainly appreciate others views. I will also say that the picture gives the car a toy like impression,  which is quite different from the real world view of a large and spacious SUV. When I look at the picture, and then get in to my  2015 Cayenne turbo, I'm struck by how large and powerful my car is versus the car in the picture.

I thought my Cayenne Turbo S felt like a truck after I drove the silky smooth Bentley. Recall this was my 5th Cayenne Turbo / Turbo S so I am not biased either. You can't compare a Bentayga to a Continental  GT just as you can't compare a Cayenne to a Panamera. I agree on the price  - for once I had my sensible hat on and went for a 6 month old First Edition with a deep discount . On the rest let's just agree to disagree Smiley . There's nothing I can do about the Bentley brand image in Vancouver though Smiley ( or for that matter over here).

They haven't discontinued the Cayenne yet

Nowadays, all I see is the Cayenne / Cayenne S, no more GTS (V6 TT) or Turbo / Turbo S angry

Have you seen the prices of the turbo and turbo S?

Was at my dealer yesterday, and he is offering current Turbo Cayenne for 122K (about 8% off MSRP.

Looks a bit like the Evoque now, but that is due to the fact that this seems to be a warped reflection of some sorts.

So no more PDK for the Cayenne?  Just Tiptronic?  Or was it just the Macan that had PDK? I am not an SUV guy, so don't remember...

The Cayenne never had PDK - always was and is a Tiptronic because the PDK can't handle the stresses of towing as much as the Cayenne needs to.

Any idea when the Cayanne turbo new generation will be released, and then when deliveries might occur next year?

Re: Next Cayenne generation approaching fast... (2018)

Looks are really boring but at least they managed to increase the boot by a 100 litres to 770 litres.

That's a serious increase and makes the car more interesting for those needing space in a more compact package than the Q7...

Sad we have to praise the boot on a new Porsche though!
