    I Finally got the true answer from Hienz of Gemballa USA. In an effort to put thier product on the market, they took a picture of what he called a "prototype" (meaning they thought they would make it look like the OEM). Once they actually developed (priced actual suppliers ) the exhust production version changed to what we see here. There are 2 versions, but they are both the same visually. As men we are such push overs... I wonder what my girlfriend would do if she ordered a pair of Prada boots, and got sent Nike Airs instead.. WWIII anyone?

    Guys..

    Make ASAP some sound track of this two different verions of Gemballa exhaust

    I'm ready to order...but i don't know wich one of the two..the street legal or export?!?!??!

    If the street legal is the same of remus..i will go with it..but if the export sounds the best ,i order it from Gemballa

    Help me!!!!

    Picked up the car this saturday.. WOW. Holy [****]... It sounds like a fire breathing dragon with its nuts in a noose. The Gemballa export Exhust and the fabspeed catbypass pipes are the way to go. After I picked it up I went by my friends house, he ran outside to see what was pulling into his drive way. the entire nite he was talking about how tight my car sounded. how do I get you a sound clip??

    Dario, my Gemballa EC street legal exhaust is getting louder.
    For a few days now, it has a much stronger V8 growl. Still not what I'm looking for but people on the boardwalk are turning their heads when I'm passing by. To be sure it is the exhaust, I let my wife drive a few hundred meters with my Cayenne and I was staying outside to hear the sound. Holy cow, it seems the insulated glass (even with the driver window open) keeps away a lot of the exhaust sound, it really sounds like a V8 machine, pretty loud but maybe not as loud as people would expect from a sport exhaust. Maybe it takes another few weeks to get that "final" sound from this exhaust.

    What I'm actually trying to say: I'm a little bit afraid the export version could be too loud, even for Italy.

    As soon as I get my wife to drive my Cayenne again (the stupid lurching problem made my wife accelarate too much, the boost jumped in very suddenly and she almost lost control because she was used to the linear acceleration of our ML55 AMG ), I post a sound file.

    Is your Gemballa EC sounding more like the v8 growl of your ML55? I've got to admit that I miss the ML55's rumble (along with the thicker steering wheel) every time I switch to it from my TT.

    Glad to hear that I'm not the only one concerned about putting their wife in a TT with the non linear acceleration. Like yours mine is use to the acceleration of the ML55. She's taken the TT around an ice track several times without a problem but I'm worried that there might be a problem on the street making a quick turn.

    Thnaks CHris..but now i've ordered the Export version..

    I think this week arrive at home...

    Maybe next week i put on the car (if arrives)...

    And maybe the week after my car is just in the police parking...

    I just returned back from a short ride in our ML55. For driving in the city, it is ten times more fun than the Cayenne Turbo because of the spontaneous throttle and shifting response. I just wait for an answer from Porsche(still didn't get one, good sign, this means something is happening!) and if they deny any problem(which I doubt), I'm in Zuffenhausen with my ML55 the next day for a practical demonstration.

    No, the sound from the Gemballa exhaust is not ML55-like. The ML55 has a more sporty aggressive high pitch V8 tone but my Cayenne Turbo has now that typical deep V8 growl which gets louder, mixed with the sound of the boost pressure popping off. Sounds great from the outside.
    But I still hope it is getting around 25% louder, it would be perfect without annoying the kids sitting in the rear.

    To Dario: the suspense must be killing you.
    Just can't wait to see pictures of your car and of course to hear how you like the sound of the export version of the exhaust. It might be quieter at the beginning but it definetly should get louder after a few thousand km.

    Chris : Your wife is an angel and loves you a lot....driving your cayenne for you to making able to ear the gemballa exaust ...heheh!

    my girlfriend drove my 996 for a weekend for a porsche meeting (50 crazy porsche friends!) because the police had my driving licence ....this is love .....

    OT : Chris ,what means exactly lurching problem ? i'm not able to translate in italian ....my cayenne (s) is arriving thi week ...and i'd like to give it to my girlfiend soon to drive .....
