    AM V8 has arrived!

    Been trying to find a chance to post some pics of the new AM V8.....but work has been crazy! And havn't really driven it far yet.

    Will post a full report with vids and pics in the next month or so.

    First impressions are great. The engine note is AWSOME! Still breaking it in (they said to take it easy for the first 1000kms) but still sounds awsome!

    And i can't stop looking at the car....its just the best looking car ever IMHO.

    I also went to the AM launch party in Melbourne (Australia). Got to see the convertible V8. Its a great looking car, but after years of driving convertibles...i'm kinda over them. Sorry...no pics.

    Any AM V8 owners on rennteam going to put the Prodrive kit in? The Power and Exhaust upgrades sound good.

    Sorry...seem most of my pics havn't turned out very well. But here is one at the dealership.

    Will defently have to get more pics ASAP!

    John, looks great! I can't wait to see it in person. My only problem with getting a car like this is that it is so much better looking than the driver! :P

    Congrats... been driving mine for 3 months now and still loving it.

    Remeber to pull fuse 22 in the trunk/boot.. well worth it as it leaves the exhaust valve open at all revs, not just over 4000 - lovely sound and not OTT.. I can still sneak up the drive at night under a very light throttle.

    I guess you and I think alike! That is the only thing that I really don't like! Car of such price should not have something like that ruining the aesthetic beauty of such a car.

    Exactly what I was thinking, the antenna in the Z is in the passenger side mirror. I just can't see why AM can't do the same, sheez for another 30K you'd think they could integrate it better

    how long is the waiting time???

    any discounts off rrp (if u dont mind me asking).

    I drove past the Aston dealership 1 month ago and there was no V8 convertible. when is the first Aust shipment???

    price idea on the roadster?

    Hi derder

    Wait time was about 7 months.
    No Discount.
    The roadster was just brought in for the Motor shows. I saw it as the Aston Martin party in late Feb. I have no idea about pricing or when the rest actually arrive?

    Hopefully this weekend....i'll get some video and pics.

    As far as start buttons go...its a 'better' one....but i actually would prefer a normal key start. I think after years of twisting the key to start...it just feels better than pushing a button. Plus...unless you have keyless entry (like mercs or lexus etc.) you have to twist the key and then push the start button!

    It's a beautiful car in a beautiful color! (something which shows in the amount of AMs in it though.. )

    did u get the revised version with the new seats???

    how much was your V8 (on the road)??

    did u consider a GT3 as well when u purchased, cos I think they may work out to be the same price range.

    pls post more pics!!!!

    Could you please tell me what the revised seats are, have they been made bigger or smaller ? I find it hard to fit into the seats of a vanquish because of the inability to make the right adjustments.

    Yeah new 07 seats. I'll get a pic of them over the weekend.
    Cost was about $280k on roads...which i know is close to the GT3....but i did test the Carerra S etc. and just didn't dig the rear engine (although as i have posted b4...on the track it would be awsome). Plus i just really like the look a feel of the Aston.

    And more pics and vids coming after this weekend!!!

    I think they are marginally narrower. But they will 'give' a little i think after a bit of time sitting in them. I'm a failry big guy (6'3" 94kgs) but i fit in ok. Heaps of room compared to a Formula Ford!
