So, is RC a sissy then? Don't dismiss a good automatic, because it will probably hand you your butt in the straight line.

In the turbos case maybe the tip will win, but when it comes to AWD vs RWD it's a different story

I wonder how PDK will change that matching of driver / car profiles. I hate shifting, does nothing for me, and I know a machine can do it better. Perhaps that's why we see PSM on GT2s as Porsche is 'market(ing)' focused now ...

NO PSM on GT2 just TC.

    Re: 997 GT2 is coming...more details

Can plz someone explain me exactly what are the differences between PSM and TC. ?!

    Porsche Stability Management

    Traction Control

One stabilizes the car, the other just tries to improve traction, e.g. won't save you from spinning.

actualy ... none of both in my car (turbo S) ... ABS only ... cuz im using GT2 ABS unit , ( to enjoy the blow-off sound ) ... ... So !! .. if the new GT2 comes with PSM / TC ... !!! you`ll never ever be able to install blow-off on your 997 turbo or GT2 .

I dont understand you point of view.. All old Turbos.. (Bad boys, 993) ane even older had the rear wing.. I like it too..

It's not the rear wing, that is ok with me... but the styling with all those flashy slats.... seems to me that the "clean lines" philosophy is abandoned, and traded-in for a fast&furious philosophy to make the car look as busy as possible, which is not a good thing imo.

Very correct. Seems as if the design department is running out of ideas.

Here's a tried and tested idea: "If it ain't broke, don't fix it." Keep the 996TT rear, remove the slats from the Techart side intakes, don't add more lines to the nose, and...voila.

    Same as Ferrari.

360 and 430 almost look the same, they just added the Enzo style lights.

Maybe just me, I don't like the 996tt rear. The ass is not big enough and the wing is too small for a GT2.

I think the 997 wing here combined the 993 and 996 wings.

However, I want the air intakes on the wing to be bigger.

In order to looks more similar to the 993 GT2.

Yes, I don't think I made myself clear enough, I didn't mean to use the 996TT wing, the 997GT2 wing is fine with me, just remove all the unneeded slats, then open up the rear holes but with screen to cover the holes. The 997GT2 can stick with the bigger wing as depicted in the "spy" pics, and with the intakes built in as shown.

That's because the 430 is basically an upgraded 360. 430 successor will be radically different.

Every 911 successor is basically an upgraded 911.

    The design is timeless.

That are the different philosophies of Ferrari and Porsche.

Some like buying always the same shape in case of Porsche, some don't. IMO I find it astonishing, over how many years managed to keep the design up to date. Nevertheless I wouldn't call this design always timeless. There were some disappointments like the ugly bumper at the 964 or the boring 996 which looks like a slippery soap to me. If Porsche will succeed with that philosophy in the near future will have to been seen, but as they did over all those years, there isn't much reason to doubt about it.

    Re: 997 GT2 is coming...more details

So whatever happened to RC ?

When is Porsche going to give the green light for the dealers to take orders ?

    Re: 997 GT2 is coming...more details

They already taking preorders... I think that they will have the specs on summer time

    Re: 997 GT2 is coming...more details

Anyone thinks the latest pics we have seen is the final product?

If not what else gonna change?

    Re: 997 GT2 is coming...more details

I dont know what to say.. I dont like SO much now.. neither in front not in back... Maybe it is too white for me. I like the wheels very much though. But i liked more the silver in snow even if it the same car.. Especialy in front

    Re: 997 GT2 is coming...more details

I like this latest pics the most. Cleanest design among GT3/RS/Turbo IMHO.

    Re: 997 GT2 is coming...more details

I know some of you don't like it but I'm sure you will warm up to it. It was the same case with the Turbo when the first pictures of the Turbo with almost any camo hi the forum.
