    Best way to quickly sell 997S4?

    Greetings:

    I have a 2006 997S4, GT Silver that I need to sell as I just got the opportunity of a life time to travel the globe for work for the next two to three years. Any suggestions? It has 8K miles on it, and is spotless, never tracked, and has a Caliber radar detector custom installed. I am THINKING of posting it for 95K or best offer (paid 104K). Any thoughts, comments or suggestions on where to post would be greatly appreciated. I want to take a targeted approach as opposed to plastering it all over the internet as that seems to degrade the uniqueness of this beautiful car.

    Thank you in advance - by the way, I think my boss would be willing to transfer the lease - has anyone had any bad experiences with this?

    Put it in the Autotrader. If you buys takes over the lease you will remain on the contract in case he misses the payment. Of course it depends on who the lessor is. Porsche and BMW do not let the originall Lessee off the hook until the end of the contract. There is a $500.00 transfer fee to put your Boss on the lease. You will be off the lease but you will remain responsible in case your boss stops making payments.

    There's ZERO chance of selling it for 95k.

    I think you would take at least a 20k hit on the car most likely more. I got 22K off of a 2006 c2s cab in Nov last year that had 5k miles. I found it on autotrader. GL with the sale.

    I agree with the other posters. Your going to have to drop your price by another $10,000 before you get any interest. Of course, one never knows. Some dufus might bite and pay the $95,000.

    It only takes one person to buy the car. If you are looking for a quick sale then lower the price. If you have time you can start high and hopefully someone will offer you more then what you will take. 9K off on a year old car sounds a bit high but I'm not in the market for a car either. Good luck and hopefully you will get a buyer at 95K.

    I am going to post it on autotrader this weekend after a detail. I think you are right about the price - I am going to list it at 85K, and see what happens. My local dealer has a few listed for around the same price, with not as many options. Thank you for your help!

    Steveo, hope it goes well. I have had mine listed in AT for 6 weeks, no bites. I am listing it on the high side, most likely why no bites. Do get alot of calls from people that want to help sell it!

    curious what hte specs of your 997C4s and how much you're listing it for...and why you're selling it.

    i would think that the longer you wait the more people will hear of the revision and the bigger hit the price could take?? thanks.
