Poll: The Two Best Sports Cars
Which are the two best sports cars of the last five years - taking into account not only performance and style, but also cost/value/practicality?
a) Two seater
b) Four seater
My vote is for the two seater is the 996 GT2. A slightly tuned GT2 is a very hard car to beat on any road or track; it is usable as a daily or long-distance driver. And at current prices, the GT2 is the best value supercar available today.
My vote for the best four seater is not the 911 Turbo, but the M3 CSL. The CSL is lighter, more agile and more fun on a track than the Turbo, plus it has big back seats and a trunk. If you want similar performance to a GT3 and four seats, there is only one car to choose from: the M3 CSL. And at about 50,000 euro the CSL is the best value performance car available today.
BTW the CSL boot is the same as every other E46, with one exception: The BOOT MAT is made of a recycled fibre (possibly cardboard:) material and therefore is about .5kg lighter.
