question:gt3rs.2? i hear yes but would be happy with no. and the OTHER car: when?

btw, what will the gt3.2 do which the gt3rs.1 can't?

    cheers p

.2GT3RS, I cannot confirm or deny yet. Sorry. Same for questions concerning GT2/GT2RS.

The OTHER car will be a resurrection of a historic name plate. All I can say.

The gen 2.5 engine in the .2 GT3 is an evolution of the gen 2 4.0 in the GT3R which has a completely new oiling system, it will not grenade itself Smiley Will be race proven at least.

The engine in the current RS and the R is a gen 1.5, they are an improvement over the gen 1 engine in the current GT3.

.2 GT3 will have a evolutionary exterior design, mixed reactions from the 918 owners, some like it, some don't. Personally I like the new design, more aggressive. It will still narrow body so not gonna have the wide tires from the RS. The 'major' difference will be the inclusion of the option for manual gearbox.

Engine output should be right around 500HP. Slightly less than the current GT3RS, as even though the GT3RS is rated at 500HP, the ram air effect from the side intake at speed will give it a little bit more.

I don't have a 991 GT3, so buying the .2GT3 is a no brainer as it serves a different purpose than the RS. Motorsports treats the GT3 as the 'sports' model while the RS is the 'track' model. Hell I will likely spec sports seats instead of buckets. The NA engine bark is so much sexier than the disappointing 991.2 turbo engines, those little turbos are a major disappointment in the sound department that's for sure.

thanks, interesting. i apparently misunderstood since i thought the other car is the GT2RS.....

whoopsy, i'd like to know how you find time to drive all your cars:::))))

I actually don't have that answer lol. Asking that question never crossed our mind when we had them.

Did u even read up on what I had posted?

The next GT3 will have a modified version of the race motor in the GT3R.

Nick I ask this out of ignorance but how would a modified version of the GT3R engine be a benefit for a "sport model" for street driving? Also, does your RS have that engine?

Finally, what did the other 918 owners dislike about the styling of the .2GT3?

Each car I have serves a different purpose, they rarely overlap. But one car does cover a lot of purpose, that's the F12, amazing machine.

My RS has the gen 1.5 engine, which is based on the GT3 engine which is gen 1.

The GT3R race engine is a gen 2 engine, with a completely new oiling system and some internals.

They modified that race engine for street duty but keep the oiling system, and that's the benefit.

Nick, to a casual observer would they be able to see the difference between the GT3.1 and GT3.2?

    Re: OFFICIAL: 911 R (2016)

GT3R based RSR would be my guess!

    Re: OFFICIAL: 911 R (2016)

    Of course it is RSR

    Re: OFFICIAL: 911 R (2016)

I would guess Carrera RS, except they would almost certainly be waiting for 2023 for 50th Ann.

RSR would be very cool (street legal Cup car).

Nick, all variations of 911s throughout the years looks like a 911 to casual observers, only difference they see is either with a wing or withoutSmiley
