    OK , so we've got the car. You had to detail it yourself. Time for some pics so we can critique your work.

    Sorry to hear about the bad delivery experience. I would have a chat with the GM and give them a chance to make it right. If you are not satisfied with their response then I would not hesitate to give them a bad report card.

    Sorry to hear about your bum delivery experience. Hope you hit them hard on the J.D. Power survey that both PCNA and Porsche headquarters mandate. Porsche pays attention to these results.

    My dealer, Porsche of Tysons in Northern Virginia (also known as HBL Porsche-Audi), had the car in perfect shape. It was detailed perfectly, with the additional 3M clear coat bra I had the dealer install. They would even have delivered it on a Sunday if I wanted!! The paperwork is always a grind when taking delivery, but it was done efficiently. The salesman I had, Pat Driscoll, was outstanding. It's no wonder that Porsche of Tysons is one of the top 25 Porsche dealers in the U.S. Porsche of Tysons, owned by Roger Penske's United Auto Group, takes the J.D. Power and other customer surveys extremely seriously, hence their great performance for customers.

    look on the positive side im sure you took your car home and washed and detailed it way better than your dealer ever could have....just wondering if the dealer also sells other lower end stuff...check out the service set up before comitting to a real potential problem...hope your having fun now.

    It is my understanding that Porsche Cars North America has not been using JD Power to survey New Porsche Sales or Service for several months now. An individual Dealership might have their own "Survey" mechanism in place. TRUNDLE mentioned this several posts ago and he seems to have solid info on a regular basis.
    I agree with several other Members when they say that no one is going to have the emotional connection to your New Porsche that you do. The less DNA from the Dealer that makes it onto your Porsche the better.

    To show your dealer how disapointed you are, i would go back to him, tell him how you feel, even if we all know that he want give a s... about it, Let him know that he just lost a good client. Turn over and leave without saying a word.

    Congrat for your car and still hope you will enjoy it.

    Your experience unfortunately is very similar to mine. I just took delievary of my GT3 one week ago. My salesman told me the car would be built at the end of february, instead it arrived at the end of february. He also rushed me to pick up the car before the end of the month. I wish there was a way for the most profitable car company in the world to realize it will not stay this way if it allows its dealers to continue to do business in this manner. When I was bought my Evolution 8 , the dealer service was a far superior to my recent experience with my GT3.

    Please hang him on the questionnaire, this is just unacceptable.

    You should have come on the board before you ordered your car. We would have told you which dealers to stay away from and which dealers are excellent.
