    Re: Facelift timeline

Sorry guys I have to say it - the front looks like a cross between the 996 C4S and the 987 BOXSTER... If that thing comes up behind me I'll have to think twice about moving out of the way for it!!

    Re: Facelift timeline

    Is someone lollowing my thougts?
Facelift is due to be MY 09?? With all respects i can't imagine that prototypes with only another nose and rearlights have to be onthe road for another year unless:
These package covers far bigger news as there's to be: Direct fuel injection and / or PDK.
In that case maybe the testmules have to cover some longer testroads. Otherwise i thib-nch the facelift will come september at the IAA.
    What do you guys think?

Correct. PCA's Panorama already stated that direct-injection and PDK will be introduced in the facelift. Count on it later this year or early 08.

I believe so. The car is ready it's just a matter of when to market it. Due to slow sales (Porsche needs something new out in the market) I bet this car will be '08 MY as opposed to '09. Just my $.02.

You might be right, Ron. When do you think Porsche will reveal the 998 (or however it will be called)? Maybe 2010 (MJ 2011)? I only want to do a short step in the futur, it's not the theme of these threat!

You're in Germany you should know better .

My feeling is that the next gen. 911 (998 ?) will be out by 2011.

I don't think there is one. Just some people seem to realy want it.
I am glad it is not coming back, the red line was ok at the time , in the eighties, but now I think it is completely outdated !

    Re: Facelift timeline

I think that without the red stripe in the rear is less aggressive...

But what about the interior? Some pics?

    Me too.

Red stripe only really looks cool with the narrow rear lights, last seen at the 993.

    Interior

If the revised Cayenne is anything to go by there will be no change in the interior. Noticably the new Cayenne does not offer keyless go or iPod connectivity, or a decent navigation system.

The best you might hope for in 997.5 is for that f*cking wart to be taken out to the woodshed and gotten rid of. At that point maybe Porsche can offer the "Sport" option as std.

    Re: Facelift timeline

There are some new photographs on Auto Motor und Sport's website:

    http://www.auto-motor-und-sport.de/news/auto_-_produkte/hxcms_article_502422_14973.hbs

AND they state that the FL will probably be presented at this year's IAA show in Frankfurt (september 2007).

    Re: Facelift timeline

Good pics! But what about the interior?
What about new gudget? TV, night view etc...

and ...mini bar, seats with incorporated massage, double glase windows for extra protection and in board noice quality in order to hear the TV better, heated steering wheel, back up camera, voice dial, interior pre heating system..... but how will they fit all that in the 911 ?

Maybe they should make it bigger and more comfortable

Oh my dear goodness, I hope the won't make it bigger and more comfortable! The 911 was and still is a sportscar, isn't it?

So get rid of it and only have the Panerama and the Cayenne

The pic from auto motor & sport is already here in this threat... I think it is here or not? Nevertheless it is not a real good PS.

To the TT and the TT Cabrio: Yes, the facelift will also have an effect on them - the rear lights!
