Congrads, you got the spec I originally tried for.
I settled for black but had wheels painted black to tone down orange. Atleast I got delivery in Nov.
I can thoroughly recommend Jamie Weir at Porsche Guildford - one of the very few who bend over backwards to help.

It's very interesting to hear your view, stewart.
I dealt with several salesmen at PC East London before I placed my own order with a German dealer. I found the salesmen at PCEL left a lot to be desired overall.
I first dealt with a guy called Bradon Jones. Just my view, but I didn't find him straightforward and helpful. In fact, I don't trust him. I found Jeremy Marriage uninterested in my questions. He gave me the impression he just wanted my order without him having to do very much work.
The only guy there whom I really liked was Jonathan Ostroff. He is a real gentleman. Very helpful and nothing was too much trouble for him. Not pushy either.
I think the top guy always sets the tone for his staff and IMO this is true of the former Sales Manager at PCEL. I didn't like him.
The situation in Servicing, however, is totally different IMO. The Service Manager is Gregory Bricher who is a gentleman. Incredibly helpful and knowledgeable.
All I can say is that IMO the London dealers (apart from Mayfair) are a little complacent. I for one don't mind shopping around for good service and value.
I also found the sales staff at Porsche Centre West London to be inadequate. They didn't even know their product. The saleswoman I once spoke to said "You boys always know what you want so you just let me know which options you want". She was utterly lazy and couldn't be bothered to discuss options or explain them. When I did try to discuss them, it was clear she didn't understand the first thing about the product. All she cared about was getting her commission.
If you need to deal with someone in London, I would recommend Mayfair. The only problem is that it is a Sales only outfit. No Service etc. The sales staff there are used to going the extra mile with more demanding customers. They appear to do this happily with no fuss.
I also found Jamie Weir at Porsche Centre Guildford very helpful. He definitely appeared to have more time to give me.
Anyhow, those are just a few impressions I got. Hope it is helpful.

Easy Rider .I have been dealing with Jonathon Ostroff for years a true enthusiast even went to ACE cafe with him,unfortunately he was poached by BMW, Jonathon ordered the car for me it was after he left i had the problems , Scott was more interested in him self, had 2 other guys that came and went , then i got brandon, when then car arrived and they wanted their money i went there only to find Silver/Orange except the wheels which they did get right. so we had lots of negotiation and they agreed to change it.Next visit they had painted wing tips and mirrors silver and taken strips off , more negotiations , I ordered Silver/Black and am not taking delivery until its done, finally after 3 months have taken delivery, minus passenger harness and front roll bar, not happy and not going back there.

I totally agree with you, the first day I went to the east london dealer, they gave me a bad look and quite hesitated to assist.What they will do at first is to look out of the showroom window to confirm the car you brought down ! I have been with Porsche in Hatfield for about 4 yrs and their service is top class. Before I orderd my c4s I was given one for the wkend, they even offered me a TT. The top guy there is Lee Prendergast !! He will treat you not just like a brother but like a friend. You can't go wrong with him !!!
Awaiting my 997GT3 gt silver coming in 2 weeks

I Love the the Orange and Green RS , but felt while amazing could i live with them everyday and so didn't like the Silver/Orange combo , so begged and pleaded for Silver and Black , so as they do Black on the orange car i cannot see why they couldn't do black on the silver car.
Spec ordered was very simple Silver/Black NO Orange and with Silver wheels. ( but this was too hard for the dealer to understand) still missing passenger harness and a few other bits
