Same lap time as a Carrera GT. 6th in the list around the Top Gear airfield. It is an amazingly desirable car 
My wife and I watched it last night - she was totally overhelmed by its menacing beauty, the race-car noise it made and its blistering performance.
I am so so lucky I married a petrolhead.
I never have to watch soap operas on Sunday afternoons...we watch F1 together...

It doesn't, and that's exactly what killed Ben.
In any case, the point is moot, as I doubt I will be shopping in the hypercar range any time soon

The above description certainly isn't a Porsche.Too bad she did not have input on your Porsche purchase. Otherwise, you would be driving something else.

Nick, I know you were 'only joking' but I had rather expected you would have the good grace not to break the unsaid rule here of not making negative comments involving family members of people on rennteam. That wasn't a particularly noble act. I had expected more of you.
Regrettably, you seized upon my wife's appreciation of the LP640 on TV and then manipulated it to serve your long-running hostility towards Porsche.
It's one thing for her to appreciate a Lamborghini LP640 on a TV show but it's a different matter altogether choosing which car to buy. The decision obviously depends on a wider range of factors especially each potential buyer's individual needs.
In our case, a Lamborghini Murcielago or LP640, even though they are excellent cars, was simply not suitable for our individual requirements at all whereas the 997S was ideal.
As it happens, my wife was jointly involved in all aspects of our decision-making e.g. car, colour scheme, options etc. After all, she is a genuine car enthusiast just like you and me - so I would expect no less from her as a result.
I know it must seem absurd to you how anybody could want a 911 given how terrible they are in your eyes. Well, my wife and I are extremely happy with our purchase so far.
I would be grateful if, in future, you would kindly refrain from involving my wife directly or indirectly in your posts. Thank you.
