Lol ok i will drive a car that i bought 220.000euros till 4000rpms for the next year that i will have it.. 
and keep it in perfect condition for the next buyer... 
As I bought it to keep it just one year (Due to resale value as Pdk is going to be out)...

Nick, load the car onto a ferry to the Northern Adriatic and then drive up to Germany. A trip to Hamburg and back is sure to break in the engine nicely

Like your approach
Rare that I own any car more than 6 mos....any car becomes tech obsolete/needs mtce/faces stone or windshield chips after a few K mis of exuberant driving.....after first 200 mis when tires are still "green" and after oil is warmed up, makes little sense to "baby" the car (if weather/traffic/road allows)....any new car is a rapidly-obsolescent, depreciating, disposable piece of technology to be enjoyed today.....

check out the Z06 test on the same web site
quarter miles 12.2 for Z06 and 11.6 for 997tt.
i guess some people try to use +/- on the tip while racing but actually accelerating with out changing untill the gear changes by it self you can get the best time this way.

You are right, using the +/- with Tiptronic S is not so good as if you let the tranny do it. But using the manual shifter will do it better
