"tinkling" sound from rear drivers side wheel well
I have noticed a strange metallic "tinkling" sound coming from the rear of the car. It sounds like it is coming from the driver's side rear wheel well. I checked for any nails in the tire, removed and retorqued the bolts. looked for anything scraping the wheel or rotor.
It is noticed when starting up at a slow roll in neutral or first, I'm not sure but I think I dont hear it while in 2nd going around the same speed. It also returns when coming to a stop while in neutral.
It sounds like the frequency of the sound corresponds with the turning of the wheel.
Please help me as I would love to avoid a trip to the dealer.
I have heard of rocks/pebbles getting stuck in the caliper but dont know exactly what this would sound like
Thanks
