    New Airless Tires From Michelin

    Hey everyone. Just found out that Michelin has developed new airless tires. I heard that it was recently presented at the Philadelphia car show. The concept is very good, but I can't get past the look of the tires. This could change our concept of high performance tires as we know. What do you think?

    Did you happen to look at the date
    This is more than 2 years old and has been everywhere.
    Even got it in my mailbox from my sister in law a few years ago.

    It could be, but when Porsche omits the spare wheel and tire, and provides a tube of glue then you know it's somebody's April Fool's Day, and I guess that's us owners...

    Yes. This is a little dated but it's interesting to see that nothing has come from it in 24 months. Maybe another couple years? It would make a great spare!

    Personally, I think it's ugly, but you hit the nail on the head regarding the possibility of having it as a spare!!!! If only they could make it so that it was collapsable so as to fit it into the trunk. For short distances, it would be a great solution.
