    New Maserati Coupé spy pics

    They did a great job in covering it. I cannot tell a thing from the pictures. BTW, my sources tell me the car will be an outstanding performer and a substantial improvement over the present car.

    Yip, heavily disguised is right. If the front fender line is anywhere accurace it may resemble some of the coupes they ran at Le Mans in 1963/64.

    The rear camoflauge looks like the coupe will be a 2+2 hatchback.

    The front fender tops look from a Maserati Indy and the rear looks like a bit like a Indy style glass hatch mated with the seperate vertical glass from a Khamsin.

    I have been told by somebody who saw the finsihed product that the car is amazing amazing amazing. And for the price I do prefer it over a porsche alternative and or my present CL500. Hence will be collecting mine in september

    Even 4,80m is too much IMHO.
    AMS also claims that old 4.2L engine with Cambicorsa will be on first cars. New 4.7L early 2008...

    What's the deal for made the same car with an old and new motors? who buy the old 4.2L? Ams for me goes wrong.
    The 4.7 is ready is the same engine of the 8c Competizione.

    We all thought nobody would buy 997 when 997S with bigger engine is available, right? I see more base 911 than 911S these days.

    Ok but 997-997s is two different version right? an "entry level car" (997) and a more expensive and more powerfull car (997s).
    If Maserati decide to sell the 4.2L like an"entry level" is Ok, but sell for one year a new car with an old (good) engine and then replace it with the new 4.7 for me is not good.
    Anyway this car will be gorgeous and i hope for MAserati that they sell a lot

    AMS is right on both.

    The new Coupé will be placed between the old Gran Sport (which still will be built) and the Quattroporte. So with four seats expect a rather big car. Also they will bring the car with the "old" V8 in the first year, only available with the new automatic tranny from the Quattroporte. New, more powerful V8 as well as Cambiocorsa will come one year later.

    I was lucky enough to see the car, absolutely gorgeous!!!
    Stunning GT, and indeed very long.
    4 real seats and massive boot.
    First in Geneva, the 4.2L, same as old one but new car is heavier so performance are slightly worse but not that bad and with a car that pretty, the clientele will still go for it.
    Subsenquently, the 4.7L from the 8C with 450 hp.
