    Tyre Monitoring System

    Help

Has anyone had the warning light stay on even after adding air to a tyre. Despite checking the pressure again and again, the warning light stays on.

    Anyone have a fix??

    Re: Tyre Monitoring System

Could it be a low battery in the valve?

    Re: Tyre Monitoring System

How much air did you add?

I had the same thing, until I realized I was still under recommended thresholds. Once I took the pressure high enough the warning went away.

    Re: Tyre Monitoring System

Here's the mfgr website. You will probably find the answer there. It's very detailed.

    Re: Tyre Monitoring System

    Thanks for the info guys.

I will read the manufacturers literature and see if i can pinpoint the solution.

I have tried adding up to 10lbs more than specified but the warning light still stays on despite the tyre pressure monitor reading the right new pressure.

The warning always reads add 0.3bar in left hand front tyre.

    Re: Tyre Monitoring System

One other thing... . You can disconnect the battery, wait a few minutes and reconnect. THAT MIGHT reset everything (I'm just guessing). First see owners manual about a few battery-reconnect details.

    Re: Tyre Monitoring System

While I haven't had the warning light stay on, other than to say that the TPMS system was recalibrating itself, it has sometimes taken a few minutes (4 - 5 minutes) before my adding air to the tires has registered. For example, my TPMS (the at-rest function labeled TPC on the computer) might say "-1" for one of my tires. I add some air, checking to see how much I have added, and then turn on the ignition again to check. Sometimes it still reads "-1". I turn off the ignition, remove the key, and wait a few minutes. It usually gives an accurate reading after the second check.

    Re: Tyre Monitoring System

finally fixed it by removing tyre and valves with the pressure sensor and puting it all back again.

Long winded I know but I hate my P car to have anything not "just perfect"

you guys know what I mean!

    Re: Tyre Monitoring System

Glad you fixed it da duke. How'd you do it again, exactly?

    Re: Tyre Monitoring System

after trying more pressur and less pressure and then resetting the TPM and still getting the warning message.

I used your link to the beru web site and proceeded to remove the wheel from the car, took out the Valves with the sensor and put them back together again

here is the beru download that details it.

I'm glad it worked. Sounds like alot of effort, but hopefully it was enjoyable to an extent.

    Thanks for the reference link.
