    No idea but it could be antena for satelite radio or telephone .

    headlights look a little fooked up with the dual, stacked eyballs. like the rear treatment.

    i'm more interested in knowing the changes under the skin.

    Not bad, but not an improvement to me. The front looks more aggressive/busy and the back appears to be less aggressive looking than the current model.

    So the front looks better but I don't know about the rear..

    Who knows if the PDK is in this version?.....
    Can't wait to see the new 4S!

    It's a extra option for the rear wiper. It's to wash the rear windscreen I mean. It's a exclusive option.

    you really can't judge a car from spy-pics, when I saw spy photo's from the facelifted cayenne I had to run to the toilet but after all it look great! Had the same experience with several cars, you really must wait to judge it until the final version appears!

    Yep - I agree But maybe it's just because of what we've become used to.

    I don't expect PDK anytime soon (although I do hope I have to eat my words for the sake of others here who have been waiting for it so patiently for so very long...)

    In my own case, I never wanted PDK/DSG or a Tiptronic S so it never mattered to me when this technology finally appears. To me, it may increase practicality, reduce shifting times and 0-62 times BUT at the cost of driver involvement (and pleasure). So what's the point? But each person has their own priorities...so I respect that.

    I'm interested to see how much difference direct injection will make.

    I thought about all these factors before deciding to go ahead with my own order last year. I am still totally glad I did

    The rear lights are a copy of what they did to the cayenne.

    The front bumper looks like it's coming from the boxster S.


    I like the front though. Don't know about the back.

    Here's a comp FWIW.
    Aesthetically, the facelift is not a big "improvement" IMHO. Those "D" shapes rotated 90 degrees counterlockwise really make me weary. They're on the front of our current cars and EVERY car it seems. Weird that they softened the D on the facelifted 997 *front* end AND introduced a "hardened" D on the *rear* end of the facelifted 997.
