    help! Meteor or White?

    Sorry but I really can't make the decision!

    At first I love white GT3, but I look at the real car, I think white looks so much better in a picture. Sometimes look too plain and not white enough? But white is very match the racing feel of the GT3. Show up the great lines too!

    Meteor grey! I can't believe I will like grey. I have seen a TT in Meteor and WOO... this grey look so WET! Very shinny and the colour is changing in different view. Do you think grey will match the GT3?

    Sometimes I think GT3 match some younger colour like white, yellow, red etc. BUT, I also feel Meteor grey is very special!

    Please give me some suggestions again...

    meteor is a very nice colour, I would say that either of both colours fit the 997gt3 to perfection!

    But from my point of view, I think I would go for white, just because its a gt3, and need a "special" colour for such a unique car!!!!

    Lets be logical, I think 997gt3 owners, have this car just for the weekends, and some specific days, for the passion and love sportscars and racing sensations, this is not a car for the daily driving, it cant be match to the usability of a basic carrera, or carrera S, having said that, if I buy a 997gt3, is for having a very special, unique, and racing street legal car...therefore I want a special colour, a colour that is not very common to see!!!!, plus as we all know white REALLY MATCHES the 997gt3, with those black parts the car comes!!!

    Let me put it this way!!....A Lotus Exige S, is exactly the same type of car, absolutely unique, just for enjoying the feelings of a racing car, and then at the end of the day, parking her in the garage, with the cover on....Nearly all Exige S pics I have seen, all these owners have gone for really exotic colours, such as krypton green, orange, yellow (like Mike).....

    Well, I think I pretty much explained my opinion, so therefore-->white would be my pick

    I would order a gt3 as follows:

    -white colour
    -carrera gt seats in alcantara
    -seatbelts in red colour
    -dials in red colour
    -NO pccb, due to the price !!
    -and xenon

    btw to make things even more harder for you

    a 997gt3 with artic silver, and black colour wheels, will also make the car so damn NICE !!!!!

    White everyday of the week , next door neighbour has one in white with white cage looks great

    I can certainly empathize with you... I had the same struggle. In the end I chose white for the reasons that Alex18_996CC mentioned and can honestly say I have no regrets. The first GT3 I saw was meteor and it was BEAUTIFUL but this car looks fantastic in any color! With regard to the 'look' in photos vs real life, most colors will look different in varying light conditions. Yes, white may look a little plain in certain conditions (i.e. florescent light) but I have also seen meteor in certain conditions when it didn't look so hot... the same can be said of silver. But when you see a white GT3 in the early evening, or in the shade, it takes your breath away!

    White's the only one for a GT3 - I think the finnicky bits like the spoiler will look too fussy in a metallic colour.

    Yes you can get a roll cage fitted - will cost you the usual crazy sums though!

    Meteor without a doubt. It is rich and deep looking, changes from a silver in bright sun to a dark color in afternoon. It is also very durable, mine is 22 years old and looks new. I would never buy a white car, juts looks undone and gets dirty real easy. all my opinion of course.

    White is nice for a track car, but it will look dirty fast! (all that rolled off rubber, etc.) Meteor will stay looking good longer, in that application.

    You get any other color on GT3 except white and you shall regret it ever after. Good luck either way

    i argued and argued to have my GT3 RS in white but they won't, my last GT3RS was white som am biased , metallic paint on a track car detracts from the whole look.

    White and Grey, both goes with all cars to perfection i guess.... didnt see a grey GT3 yet but i guess it would look great.

    Yep - it IS meteor grey but not a very representative photo. The lighting makes this car look virtually like slate grey.

    If I were buying a Cayman or Carrera, it would be meteor but there is something about white on a GT car! Very simple and very appropriate IMHO but I am just a little biased...

    Okay, you asked for it.

    I've had a few drinks so forgive me if I overstate things.

    IM H O: white is for girls. Maybe it means something different for you younger guys, but for we 40-somethings (and older), white was always the woman's car. She was, subconsciously at least, trying to make a statement about purity and chastity.

    IM H O: The car you picked has oodles and oodles of flares and flutings. Lots of apertures, "kerf" lines, slatty, and venty. White is the worst color if you do NOT want all that bizzyness noticed.

    My choice would be INSTANTLY the _darker_, black-hiding, Meteor Grey; elegant and refined, it SIMPLIFIES the already too-freekin-de-simplified car (hides all those black interruptions and shadings).

    Sorry for my ahole "white is for girls" comment. Thanks all for not freaking out.

    Red seatbelts are just more stuff going on in the already-too-busy cabin, IMHO. If you want to add to that excess then get red belts (floppy brightly-colored straps), aluminum look, bi-colordash, all that jazz... .

    That look like Seal grey to me, Meteor looks more silver.
