    Regarding funding, I'll agree it has to pay for itself... as soon as all streets and roads are toll roads!




    We have gas taxes already and as long as that money is not diverted to the general fund (like it already is), there is more than enough money to pay for maintenance and expansion. Unfortunately, our greedy politicians can't keep their hands off of the money.

    And we do have toll roads (here in Orange County) and they work pretty well.

    Statistics is a funny thing. These numbers could be easily skewed by the legal system that is used per country. For example, in the States they might tend to file more murders as justifiable. What's a justifiable or unjustifiable murder anyway??...

    And this is a "sober" stats meaning that it's cold math, not fishy numbers that are used in some other reports.

    that is true - governments are spending money as if it's going out of fashion.

    Sparrow, a justifiable homicide would be a killing that was done in defense against home invasion, attempted robbery or a police action that resulted in a death justified etc..

    I'll defer to the legal beagles here to describe just what is criminal homicide, manslaughter, death by misadventure etc. as the terms mean different things in different countries and even in different states.
