    About to order a MY08 Cayenne Turbo... help.

    I'm thinking of ordering a MY08 Cayenne Turbo....
    I just spoke to my Porsche salesman and he said he could get me in for an April Delivery. My only dilemma is that im not sure what color to order. I'm leaning towards white because there are so many silver ones out there... but will a white cayenne really look nice...? Any input is much appreciated. Thank you.

    I generally don't like white cars, and I definitely don't think it would be nice in a climate where it will be dirty a large part of the time. I assume Boston's climate is like that.

    Black is nice on a Cayenne IMO.

    I generally DO like white cars, but not particularly the Cayenne. "White" vehicle colors range from very white (what another forum member calls "refrigerator white") to very off-white (a "warmer" color that tends toward the yellow-gold hues). The Cayenne white is definitely toward the latter. For a small minority of us with an acute sense of color (trust me, I have no fashion sense at all, otherwise) these warmer colors look just fine on most cars (with chrome and/or black trim), but do not blend particularly well with the large amounts of aluminum trim on the Cayenne. If this does not bother you, then go for it, but if you are picky about colors, I'd strongly recommend you closely inspect a white Cayenne in various degrees of sunlight before ordering.

    As far as it looking dirty, I have had several cars in various shades of white in the past, and the Cayenne version of white actually hides dirt relatively well - which is one reason why most manufacturers' "white" is really "off-white" in the first place - and looks much better in between washes than my current Titanium Gray.

    Are MY08 cars available from April 2007? I guess this may be possible if all new facelifted Cayennes are MY08 cars from day one. (Normally one would expect MY08 to start in August 2007).

    Agree with Sigs, the off white and alu don't go well together. But you can replace them by black parts. Combine that with plack painted wheels and you have a great combo!

    I see a white CS with black monochrome pachage, and it looks like a tuxedo to me. Dark Sea Blue, if it still existts in '08, is my favorie.

    black always looks dirtier than white, epecially after they throw salt/sand on the roads.... and you can see all swirl and scratches easier.

    I have a black Cayenne S and a white BMW 530xi, both looks "dirty" after rain.

    I probably will get my Cayenne Turbo in Marine Blue.

    I've currently got a titanium Cayenne and it hides the dirt pretty well but more importantly is easy to look after on such a large car. I had a black X5 which was a complete pain in the a$$ and needed constant waxing to look good. With the Cayenne I just apply a coat of P21S wax every 2 or 3 months and it looks great after each weekly wash. That's why I'm going for meteor grey on the 08 S I've ordered. My car will look pretty much like this one but with privacy glass and the SportDesign kit.

    Saw a new 2006 Turbo S in my dealers showroom today and I thought it looked very nice. It was very clean looking and I didn't find that the aluminum colored trim looked that bad against it. My Turbo is silver and I am happy with it, but I would consider white for a future purchase. And, it is VERY easy to live with. I have had two white SUV's and they were the most forgiving color to live with. They were even easy to invisibly touch up should you get a ding.

    The silver cars I have now are impossible to touch up since you can never get the metallic level to be the same as the surrounding paint.

    i'd definately say white.. i'm a new member here,i'm thinking of buying the new cayenne turbo in white color with black 22 inch techart wheels and the techart magnum bodykit when they launch the kit for the new one.. however a guy i know has a white 2005 gemballa gt700 on black 22 inch wheels based on a cayenne turbo where i live and it sure won my heart.. i'd say go for white color,white looks hot and if you are willing to spend a little more cash then get black 22 inch aftermarket wheels. may be i can upload the pics of the white gt700,it might be helpful to you for choosing the right color if you want... let me know if you want the pics

    I think the CTT looks too big and bulky in white. Best colour is dark blue

    Hi all!

    White colours sharpen the contours and black or dark colours blur it.

    Good designs as an Ipod, Audi R8 and so on looks better in white

    And not so good designs as Cayenne looks much better in black or dark colours

    I love the white pics!! I hear lot's of fellow Europeans here say that it looks very typically American, too 'pimpy' or 'bling bling' for Euro-taste, but personally I would go for it as it would be quite unique here in Central Europe

    go for white its cool and the colour to have now.
    currently my cayenne turbo is titanium.

    will place order for facelifted turbo in the next couple of weeks: white.
    the rason why i am in no hurry with placing the order is that according to my dealer the sports design kit will not be available before august or september delivery.

    am also going for 20" sport tecno painted white.

    I guess on the Turbo all you have to do is paint the front and rear bottom area to match and wait for the side skirts this fall...

    just noted you are getting the 21" wheels. you should seriously consider going with the painted 20" sport tecno. have them painted in white and you will love the car every single time you look at it.

    what interior colour ?

    i have th painted tecnos on my titanium. it just rounds up the look of the car. especially witht the sports design kit.

    yes I ordered the 21" wheels... I dont like wheels same color as car or the front air intake vents painted... I like to break the color a bit. But its all a matter of personal taste...
