Introduction

Hi everybody,
I would like to introduce myself. I am Joost, a 23 year old precision engineer from the centre of the Netherlands. Two years ago, I joined Flat-6.net, and have found it a cozy home ever since.
Nobody tells you to live in only one home though, so here I am. Hope I'll enjoy it over here as much as I enjoy Flat-6.

Hi Rufie!
Precision engineer, in dutch: Fijnmechanische Techniek.
This is a specialization of Mechanical engineering. So, basically it is the same, but focussed on devices or parts of devices with a maximum size of 20x20x20 cm roughly. This implies that the engineer has to deal with m,uch higher tolerances than a normal mechanical engineer. Also, we were taught some electronics and computer technology, though that is not where my heart is.
