If you like your car to be efficient, reliable and cheap to buy and run you have to go Japanese.
The news of the VW group aiming at competing directly with Toyota is almost a joke to me.
It really depends on what car you get. Some of the same makes as mine are still driving around flawlessly today with less issues than any Honda. That Japanese cars are bulletproof is, in my opinion, a myth.
I would have no idea because other than an X5 and a X3 I havent had the opportunity to drive any performance 4*4s... but by the way...I still think the Ml is an excellent choice...AMG make callosal engines!
