Re: Storing station numbers or call letters in PCM
I just looked in my manual and found the answer. Page 30 of my 2005 PCM manual has the following note in section "3.1.2 Storing stations"
"If the stored station is an RBDS station, the abbreviated station name appears in the memory presets in the FM main menu. With stations without RBDS, the station frequency is displayed instead of the name."
"Stations which transmit other information instead of the station name (e.g. weather, football result), are abbreviated to L-1, L-2, L-3, etc."
The manual needs to have the following note added:
"The PCM offers no way for you to individually select whether or not to display the RBDS information or the station's frequency. You are [beep] out of luck and will have to guess what "L-A" and "L-2" are when looking at the station list or your presets."
Completely retarded, but I've come to expect no better from Harmon/Becker after my experience with the CDR-24.
