Integra:
Currently only a discussion about possibilities, the future, alternatives and how the German government will treat Diesel engines in the future (many Porsche Diesel cars are registered as company cars).
Btw: This is not something only Porsche is thinking about...even if the Audi boss said recently that they are going to stick to the Diesel. This can change fast.

People have short attention spans. Diesel will live and die by it's merits and economics. High-end cars like Porsches can simply go petrol hybrid due to the huge profit margins and already high price tags. Porsche will either attempt to raise prices or simply accept a world of lower margins.

The farmer:bluelines:Hey, The Farmer, hold on to that Panamera Diesel... it is the last
I know But please read the GT2 posts and you know why I bought it. The Pan diesel comes with a extra package as well....
Dealers aren't supposed to do that to customers...
Anyway: You won't regret getting your Panamera, it is a damn fast Diesel and consumption, especially if you don't push it all the time, should be amazing.

If you buy a Panamera Diesel and a GT2 RS your dealer will put you on the list for the next GT4?

Gnil:Cayenne Diesel are not road approved anymore in Switzerland. Baned untill new engines are made. All existing one can still drive but no new one is allowed in the country.
As far as I heard, the Cayenne Diesel (or was it the Cayenne S Diesel or both) gets a software update soon, to comply with emissions laws and lower NOx output. I supposed this also means that the "ban" will be lifted in some markets.
Since Porsche has stopped Panamera 4S Diesel production, it is safe to assume that the next Cayenne generation will be offered without a Diesel version. At least for the start.

I think the final decision has been made yet but so far, no more Diesel and customers who ordered one get a generous "alternative" (they can usually upgrade to the Turbo at no additional cost).
