Price tag is quite OK for the whole package (450 hp seems to be reserved for the Turbo S ) but I'm afraid a retrofit for existing cars is out of the question, I heard there won't be a Tequipment retrofit kit (for now?).

SciFrog:I would have ordered it if available... Again the Macan just shows how badly everything is overpriced in Cayenne and Panamera world
Like the Cayman in the 911 world, right

Just buy used. There's a 2016 Turbo S on ebay asking $50K under sticker with a few thousand miles on it. Next year it will be another $30-50K under sticker. These cars have no value any more and it shows.
I like the package and I'm surprised it didn't got more expensive for what's included. 40hp more, the very well sorted GTS-chassis (-15mm or -10 mm if optioned with Air Suspension), Sport Chrono pack standard, PSE and bigger front brakes, 390mm discs.
Must admit that I'm considering upgrading from my current Turbo and in the process try a new color and change a bit of stuff in the option list. The Macan equipped with all the performance goodies is a real gem and according to me has the best seats out of all seats in the Porsche line-up. The 18-way adaptives - much better than equivalent in the Cayenne.
Not that I care massively, but I find it quite strange that the fuel consumption is up from 8,9l/100km -> 9,4l/100km. I know these figures are far from the reality, but usually Porsche does end up with same fuel specs. E.g. comparing Turbo and Turbo S in the Cayenne and 911... Wonder why they didn't manage to tune the engine for efficiency this time around?

I have never seen so far an average consumption below 10 l/100km on my Macan Turbo (the board computer indicates, in a mix of highway and city driving, 14.5 l/100km and i usually respect the speed limits) . I always find ridiculous those nominal consumption figures (and co2 emissions too). Otherwise it is a fantastic daily driver. The Performance package is a very good deal.
My wife, she drives her Macan Turbo mainly in the city, has 14-15 l / 100km fuel consumption. She does not use Sport or Sport Plus.
When I drive the Macan Turbo during school vacations or whenever, only Sport and mostly Autobahn, fuel consumption gets over 22-24 l / 100km. Ouch.
For comparison: My wife's former BMW X3 35d (313 hp Diesel) had a consumption of 10 l / 100 km at full throttle on the Autobahn (never got it over 10.3 l...) and an average of 9 liters / 100km in the city.

I want to know why the Macan has 30 buttons in the center console and my McLaren has like 10. Why does this can have so many buttons?!
It really ruins in the interior design for me. Makes it look cheap as hell with a bunch of crappy plastic buttons a foot long and 6 inches wide down the center.

996FourEss:Does anyone know of any plans to offer this as an aftermarket upgrade? I recall in the olden days that one could get power kit upgrades from Porsxhe for 911s. I would be willing to pay for this for my Macan
Right now, no plans but if Porsche decides to offer it, it could cost quite a lot because of the upgraded brake system. Unless you have PCCB of course.

Sport Auto finally reviewed the Macan Turbo with Performance Package:
0-100 kph in 4.3 seconds (4.7 Macan Turbo)
0-160 kph in 10.2 seconds (10.9 Macan Turbo)
0-200 kph in 16.7 seconds (18.1 Macan Turbo)
Kleiner Kurs Hockenheim: 1.15,5 min. (pretty good for a SUV, Macan GTS needed 1.16,1 min.)
They also commented that although the Macan Turbo Performance Package has the GTS chassis, it seems to be slightly inferior to the Macan GTS (chassis). Only detectable at the limit though, so no real problem.
Tested car was on Continental SportContact 5P and had 21'' wheels.
