    the 997 gt3 is a fantastic car ,more near to a race car than a "street car" .
    I 'like her very much because to have fun I need that kind of cars : noisy ,very hard suspensions and without confort .
    Mine (the MaxT's twin ) is the clubsport version ,a car ready for trackdays and not developed for long trips with a girlfriend : the sound inside is amazing ,but if you drive for about 200 km at low revs (3000 rpm) it's possible that u come out the car with haedhake .... . in the street the pasm doesn't work very well ..in "normal" si hard and in " pasm sport" at very low speed it's the same : hard ,hard ,hard ! in hight speed freeway use ....on the bridges splices your back jump and you need to be very careful with the steering .My former 997s had -20 lsd option ...Gt3 is 3 times harder and the steering is more precise . on the track the normal setup is easy to drive ,the hard .....it's hard ....the end of the car os more sensitive to your foot (and ass hehhe)
    The engine is very good but strange !
    My former 997S ,at low revs , seems to have more torque and seems to be more strong .....the Gt3 power starts from 5000 rpm ...the revs accelerate more and more to the en line .
    Now my car has 1800 km ....the engine it's new but for me the "up gear light" is set too late ......on the straight when the light comes the engine doen't the the best power ....(imho) .
    This is a modern "race" engine that has all the power at high revs ....it's good for tracks or highway but (for me ) it's not good for street or mountain roadwhere it's bettere to have the full power at low revs .
    but remeber that this car is developed for racing ,not for holidays ...so the engine is great ....
    I posted a video on this forum a couples of days ago ...you can see the difference between the new 997Gt3 and the "old" 996 Gt3 Mk2 ...I did not believe to my eyes ...look it ...I have no words .

    The gear ratio is longer than the 997S gears : consider 205kmh on 3^ and 250 or more on 4^ .......and 330/335 on 6^ (obvoiusly on speedo).

    the LSD on Gt3 is hader than 997s lsd and works very well ..when you turn and push the gas the car jump at the end of the turn ....

    brakes : i have standard brakes (350mm) and in my former 997S I had PCCB (350mm) ...with standard brakepads the brakepower is similar like my former pccb ( less weight to brake??) ...

    so ....this is a wonderful car ...BUT remeber that it's hard and ,for me, not easy to use every day or for an holiday thanks the engine "noise" louder that other 997 and thanks the track adsorbers setup .

    if you want a car similar to a race car buy it ,if you want to listen a good mp3 or speak at high speed to your girlfriend buy a turbo .

    to listen "ramazzotti" and talk to my girlfriend I use the cayenne with pcm,electric seats and a wonderful soonroof lol !

    Thanks for the review, Sergini!!! I think your comment about the gears being longer on the GT3 is just a result of the much higher redline, 8.4k vs. 7.2k (I think the actual ratios are actually shorter on the GT3)...

    the 997gt3 ratios are shorter than the 996 Gt3 Mk2 ratios .

    A good Porsche sportdriver who owns a 996 Gt3 Rs Mk2 anda 996 Gt3Cup drove for a couple of laps my car .

    he told me that the front it's better then 996 Gt3 rs ,more precise and less "light" at high speed corners ,the engine is more powerful and the balace is better . but with "street"camber angles it's difficult to turn the car : today my car is on Motorsport garage to improve the suspensions set up ..

    He also told me that he drove che new 997 Gt3 cup and the chassis /engine are similar to che 996gt3cup ....the difference between the cars is the squential gearbox ...

    Interesting though about your comments on how hard the car is. I had a 996 GT3 and it was a pain on the street, though not completely unworkable. The press, Excellence, Top Gear, EVO, etc talk about how much more streetable the 997 GT3 is. . . Walter Rohrl was quoted as saying it's the first car that he's been in that can do double duty, street and track. Excellence stated that the initial bump compliance is so good on the GT3, it's better than many sports sedans.

    Since a GT3 for me would replace both my track car and Ferrari street car, its street abilities are important. Based on what you said, I now have serious doubts as to how fun the GT3 would be on the street.

    Probably keep the ferrari and the dedicated track car. . . .

    wait ....my words are to "normal" peaple ,the 90% of Porsche customers (and 99,9% of Ferrari's) but for me ,driving the Gt3 on the street is an orgasm !
    My former car (997S ,black/black) was anonimous ,nobody observed me at the traffic light like now ,my girlfriend and my friend now look at me like a crazy guy who drives a "race"car in the city like a VW golf .
    Now I use everyday me gt3 to work and going out with my friends in the night ...no problems for me .....but remember I'm (like a lot of us) the 10% of porsche customers .
    Why you can buy a lot of used 996gt3 with 10000 km ?

    I tell you a story : two days ago I was driving my car in the center of my city and I was in a street where a my friend (woman) lives . It was a log time that I coudn't see her ...so i called her with my phone .
    I ask to her where she stay at the moment and she told to me that she was in a pub in the exact point where I was . i told her that Iwas here ......and she said :" Are you driving that "strage" Porsche ??? A moment ago i told to my friends that it's the first Porsche that Isaw whith that strange "aero wings" and in that "strange colour" (white) .......ahhahhhh!!

    If you want to use this car in the city to call girls ....please buy a cabriolet

    in the end she saw the fre extingusher ,roll bar ,bucket seats and 6 pointbelts ......she told me that i'm crazy to spend a lot of money to have acar like this ....


    it's the same ....Ilike to be crazy ! hhhehehe



    Darius : talk to the M5 drivar that I " defeat" toady ..call cargraphic and tune it ..... Mi-bo now has a lot of turnand schicanes ...lol

    I am a little bit surprised about the difference of the suspension between GT3 and -20mm
    I tried the GT3 on the same roads I drive often my -20mm and I have found that the suspension hardness is very similar ..
    I sometimes wonder if the -20 mm could be softer on some cars

    In response to the questions posed by Frayed.
    Is there a difference in the suspension set-up between your club sport and the standard GT3 suspension set-up?

    We do not have the Club Sport option in the states. Any insight?

    It looks like from the first pictures that you placed some kind of grill/mesh over the air intakes in the front bumper. Could you take some closer pictures of this? and What did you use?
