    How to achieve 3.7 seconds?

    Hello everyone...been a while since i posted here, i just got my new 997 turbo about a month ago, black on black, will post a picture soon. Wanted to know whats the best way to achieve the 0 - 60 timings of 3.7 seconds on a tip? Do u only achieve this timing with the sport button on and using the brakes, should u have it on tip manual, or just floor it on auto, etc. Thanks..

    I lifted this from the other P forum - (can't be good for the car though):-
    Full brakes, then full gas, release the brakes and let it go. It doesn't work with the manual transmission. This is the reason why the Tip is faster than the manual in 0-60mph.

    For rolling start drag races (60mph-100mph, 50mph-100mph, 50mph-150mph, etc), the best take off technique is to lightly hit the brakes, then lightly hit the gas (it fools e-gas), hit the brakes harder compesating with gas not to lose speed, until you're at full gas, release the brakes and bang...

    If you really must do this go with a static takeoff,--with brakes applied as it spools up. You must be new to Porsche.
