Can I commit an arch heresy?
I'm sorry, this illustrious car from the past just doesn't do it for me. Maybe my palette just isn't refined enough to appreciate it.
I know its performance was legendary for its time, but on looks alone, this car just doesn't do anything for me. The colour only adds to the cold feeling I have.

This car belongs to my neighbour, Altani, Emir of qatar.
You can see the arms of his country on the wheel caps.
Some other of his Porsches bear the hand of Fatima instead of the Porsche logo on the front hood.
Not the most opened neighbour I must say.
For info, his latest acquisition is the new SLR 722, green exterior with yellow leather interior.
There is regularly the most monstruous Cayenne I've even seen parked outside his place in the summer.
You can see the arms of his country on the wheel caps.

Great neighbour you have there
I saw various times a pearl white 959 cabriolet with chrome wheels, in Mallorca(Balearic Islands), I think he still drives the car there.
I think there where no 959cabriolets, this one was done by the owner after purchasing it. The owner was a retired Boxer, very big man, and of colour.
I remembered it had a "fat" sound,
He also has an Escalade in black colour with 20 something inches
Both cars with plates of the UK.
For sure the 959 is a master piece, but I would like to know who of you would choose between the 997GT3RS and THAT 959 with that colour.

Depends on what your desire is. If you want the latest greatest car you'd chose the GT3 RS. If you wanted a piece of Porsche history that will always be worth more money and pride then you'd take the 959. Those stripes and color though

Exactly! I couldn't have said it better myself. Give me a 997 GT3 anyday...
I'm sorry but I'll pick the 959 over TWO 997GTRS anytime. Even with that ugly color.

I completely agree. The 959 is a technological marvel, but to me it is an ugly duckling.
Alex, i would take the GT3RS anyday.

Hmmm, I'm imagining that pastel mint green that Porsche used on the 968 about 12 years ago as exterior color and jasmine yellow as interior color.
Wasn't there a vomiting Instant Graemlin somewhere in that menu?

For some time, the dark (mostly metallic) green was a pretty common colour over here in Germany. A couple of years ago, almost all BMW 7series and even some 5series were green, I never liked this colour. Also saw tons of 928 in that colour, horrible.
