    Maserati Quattroporte Automatic

    Maserati introduced new automatic version of Qauttroporte. Why? Well, almost 70% of all costumers did not like Cambicorsa in this kind of car. Also it is a must in USA...
    Performance are not published yet, but Maser claims just little bit slower then Cambicorsa version.

    0.2 sec lost to 62 mph and 5 kmh lost in top speed.
    This will make the Quattroporte from a flawed sport sedan into one of the very best.
    Press into in the Alps in January.

    My dad's 1984 Quattroporte had an auto box... Didn't have cupholds up front, but it DID have a crystal decanter in the back... Didn't make up for the fact it was a p.o.s. though.

    How can you even ask this question? He simply elaborated that all the things you frowned upon had already been done by Maseratti in the previous Quattroporte, except for the fact that the old one was a bad car.

    I'd say the V8 will have 450hp in the future, but there will be the V12 from the 612 Scaglietti in the QP top modell...

    It will get more power soon as you said.
    But, it is IMHO the most soulfull car in its class.

    Indeed. It exudes qualities far more appealing than, say, an M5 or S63. Those cars lack any charisma, imo...

    Did they sacrifice the dry sump system to fit the ZF 6spd?

    I am about to take delivery of a 2007 Sport GT qporte. Is the new transmission avaliable now? Should I wait? Dealer has said nothing! What gives??

    ROSSI- is the use in this car the reason the 575 V12 was kept in use? vs the enzo motor?

    Supposedly - the ZF 6spd automatic will be available in April, but will be shown in January.The ZF transmission is more for the casual, non enthusiast kind of drivers.

    All of the tests of the Sports GT and its improved Duo Select gearbox show it to be wonderful.

    So don't worry!

    What color and options are you getting?

    Well, the "old" V12 in the Scaglietti definetely still is a great engine and there was no need for another engine. But my guess is that the Enzo-engine also wasn't ready for the 612 when this car was presented.

    So I think we will see the following:
    - Quattroporte with V12 from the Scaglietti (that's for sure).
    - 612 Scaglietti facelift with V12 from Enzo/599 (facelift will come, new V12 is my guess).
